Re: What's Your Story?
- Spoiler:
- I was looking for lyrics to Two Breaths Walking and I found this site by mistake ^^"
I first found Vocaloid through the Nico Nico Douga Medley ryuuseigun and then searched up Melt I only saw the short version so it was kind of useless. What really got me into Vocaloid was the song Melody .exe. after that I went on a Related videos rampage without really thinking what Vocaloid was and eventually I just sort of got all my knowledge from the Youtube ˚w˚
I always wanted to be a singer (not really) and well my parents got a Mac and I started singer around with it! The End C:
Re: What's Your Story?
Here goes?
- Spoiler:
- I'm no more than a manga otaku, amatuer manga-artist since 2007, that's when the internet became a must.
Used to hum anisons for a while back then, I nearly got sent to a doctor because my parents thought I was singing in an alien language lol XD After that, my mouth is shut for good. 8X
Found this forum through google while searching for good choruses, at that time, I didn't plan on registering because it's pointless for me(can't sing to save my life lol), but the idea of getting to know people who do choruses is too good to pass off lol OTL.
Now my goal on this forum is to do PVs for choruses. XD
Re: What's Your Story?
I don't think my story is very eventful like some in this topic but I'll try to make it not-boring.
I'm new here of course and I haven't DONE much yet but still. I'm spanish so its a little iffy with the japanese words (I don't have an accent or anything) I always loved the nico choruses and thought, 'gosh I wish I could be a part of this...'. Of course I don't know japanese, a can sing it but not read it. I've always wondered if there was a yt chorus but it was a mere side thought. I loved listening to dubs and trying to sing songs. It was a bunch of fun! I loved vocaloid and japanese songs and that thought of a yt chorus bugged me! So one day I looked it up on youtube and there it is! The first chorus that I saw from Ytchorus was 'Sakura no Ame' I was literally speachless. So eventually I came to the forum and joined knowing that I probably won't be able to do any songs for a while till I got a new headset. Too bad the new one (Which I'm currently using) requires me to sing loud which I can't do without my family hearing which is embarressing. One day though I'll try to sing anyways!
Well this was it...its not very long xD

..This-
*insert boring story on how I was interested in singing/music/etc. here*
*insert simple story of how I was searching for videos like MMVs and such and found a Vocaloid song [something like Triple Baka or whatever, I don't remember] and became interested*
*insert story on how I started to sing a lot more because I liked to sing, from songs in English transitioning to anime OSTs and Vocaloid*
*insert another story of how I sang more after getting my mic*
*insert story on how I was at my usual chatroom when my friend posted a video of YTC's Dango Daikazoku chorus and because I loved Clannad and Dango Daikazoku so much, I listened to it*
*insert conclusion story here on how I checked the YouTube channel after my friend told me about YTChorus and then went to the forum, signed up, looked around, then typed this here after becoming interested*
- is how I believe it went.
Or at least, the most I can think of because I'm too lazy to remember EVERY detail. And type it out.

Re: What's Your Story?
My story is pretty short...
One day in the 9th grade, I found anime/manga again. I became fond of it quickly. I started reading and watching in like the 6th grade. eventually I dropped it and started hardcore gaming. Then I got really bored one day and decided to pick it back up again. In my junior year I think is when I found the YTC. That was more than a year ago now. after I heard the YTC sing, I decided to join because singing would be a good hobby. I started with really bad tune (which I probably still have) and didn't know how to sing. orz. I kinda improved. :D

Re: What's Your Story?
One could make a book out of all these stories
Well here's my contribution ^^
Well here's my contribution ^^
- Spoiler:
- I guess this all started when I first learned about vocaloids. Already a fan of J-pop or any kind of Japanese music, I was immediately entranced by this magical new synthetic voice thingy I had randomly found while surfing the net. Yes, it was quite the lucky find indeed. I started out with the basics, you know, Melt, World Is Mine, and so on, but the more I explored the more I found such great pieces of music, and of all genres of music too! Then came my MMD phase. Oh how I was disappointed to learn that I couldn't download the program onto my Mac... But I was quick to rebound when I one day found a link under a new vocaloid video I had watched from my "Recommended For You" videos. It turned out to be the Daily Vocaloid Rankings. O glorious day! Yes, that was the day I discovered NicoNicoDouga. Despite the fact that I couldn't read Japanese (and still can't really) I somehow managed to make myself an account and start exploring the site.
It was all good and fun until I came across a video back on youtube. It was a vocaloid song. Meltdown to be exact, but it also said, Nico Chorus. Perplexed and intrigued, I dove into the mysterious video and lo and behold, was blown away by this amazing group of singers. I thought of how much fun it would be to be featured in one of these chorus', but I figured it would be too complicated to try and get in on the action. Never the less, I went on searching for individual covers, and other chorus' on NicoNico, and for the time being I was content. Then I started poking around back on youtube for vocaloid covers that people had done there. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were quite a lot. After subscribing to a couple singers, I found myself also subscribed to the YTC account. I quickly checked out the account and the videos and immediately fell in love. This is what I'd been waiting for! Or perhaps more appropriately, what I'd been looking for, since it existed before I found it... Ahem...
Anyway, after watching a few chorus' and reading a few descriptions, I found my way to the YTC website, and here I am now! I'm glad that I came just in time for the Yowamushi Montblanc auditions, and soon I'll be posting my first ever audition! Although I've yet to really look around the site, it all just seems like a lot of fun, which is what I've been needing these past few months. Thanks for brightening up my days YTC

Re: What's Your Story?
I've always liked singing... I kinda suck at it, no lessons either. But, I still have a lot of fun doing it. Plus animating/flash has always been interesting to me... (And people need animators. It means I get to be useful xDDD)
I got into vocaloid through a friend... Meltdown was probably my first. But she was ranting about how she wanted to record and post videos but didn't have a video program... a youtube channel. So I offered to make her videos and share my youtube channel. We posted some awful dubs... got better, removed the suck and replaced it with good. Eventually we started coming across choruses which she adores... and forces me to use my backbone and audition.
Originally I joined YTChorus because my friend was hosting a chorus and need an animator... and some vocals. So I wanted to help out since I had nothing to do anyways. Plus I this site looked cool and I needed an excuse to sharpen my skills... in singing and animating. (Making videos... without flash is ridiculously hard sometimes)
So... I joined. 'Cause I'm also hoping I turn into less of a pansy and audition for more things and work up the nerve to show what little skillz. 'Sides I need more friends. I also want to meet more animators and trade techniques...
I think this is my first forum too...

Re: What's Your Story?
How I did discover Vocaloid:
Okay I'm still but it's not as bad as it was before XD
- Spoiler:
- If I go reaaally faaar back in the past (Hey we're talking about half a year ;P) a friend of mine showed me Alice Human Sacrifice and then aloot of ohter Vocaloidsongs and then I discovered more and more of them
A few weeks later I found out, that there alot of covers on YouTube and I wanted to cover to, so I started to upload covers on my old YouTube Channel.
- Spoiler:
- Well I found the YTChorus a few months ago, on Suzukis Group Contest, where they won with aloooot of votes :D(I participated to with my own group and we became 3rd :D)
I first didn't know, what the YTC exactly is, I just thought, the singers are great and want to sing along with one of them >.<
So I came to this great forum and finally out, what this exactly is and so I really fell in love with the idea of such a large group singers who want to share their talents and improve with eachother (I know it's cheesy, just bear with it XD)
And so I'm hear now, auditoned for the first time and had a very warm welcome at the "I'm new here" thread, seriously the people here are all great (But maybe I just haven't been here for along time enough to discover the bad sights of YTC )
Okay I'm still but it's not as bad as it was before XD

Re: What's Your Story?
I suppose I'll participate in this?
Ok, I suppose the fault of me ending up joining is shared between two individuals that I'm glad to call "friends". None of them are in the chorus, since one of them says he has a horrible voice, and the second... I still have to tell her about this.
She, who I shall call Alchea, was the one who introduced me to Vocaloids via asking me "which one is the saddest song?" and sent me Daughter of Evil+Servant of Evil and Kokoro. Then she sent me Hitobashira Alice (known as "the yandere song"), and then I... pretty much continued down the path by myself from that point on. I finished becoming a fan the moment I saw Gumi announced (I'm a big Macross fan, loved Macross Frontier to pieces, and I just had to know more about the Rankaloid XD)
By that time I had seen a few Nico Nico Chorus videos, and I thought it would be great to be part of a chorus like that. At the same time, my second friend, who we shall call Fanpy (and will kill me once he finds out I mentioned him XD), was living in my city (had to move because he lost his job) and we usually played Rock Band. For some strange reasong, I ended up being the singer of the band, and doing a not so bad job even when I didn't know most of the songs. He usually said that I was a good singer (even though I think he's wrong, I'm no that bad, but not that good either).
Then I found out the chorus for Akahitoha, and found out people who were doing the same as the Nico Nico Douga people... but in Youtube. So in the heat of the moment I asked if I could join... The problem is that my ego tends to deflate rather quickly, so I would probably have left it like that and never think of it again if it wasn't for Fanpy telling me that I should do it, because I was great at singing. So I did my first cover (which was a disaster, but also helped me to learn a few things, and helped me get rid of most of my fright... it still did not do anything for my deflatable ego XD), and here I am now.

Re: What's Your Story?
Lets see..
This is how I knew about Vocaloid LOL! She's EVERYWHERE!!!
How I knew about YT Chorus?
This is how I knew about Vocaloid LOL! She's EVERYWHERE!!!
- Spoiler:
- The way how I found out about vocaloid is quite...unique XD!!! I knew about Vocaloid since.. 2 years ago? roughly there.
I love anime and I usually like to go in anime merchandise shops to look and the items and buy some of them. SO, occasionally, I would see this super-long-green-hair-pony-tail girl figurine almost like, EVERYWHERE?!?!?! and it's not just in shops. I frequently see them in sites too -_-. I was getting irritated cause there was a time I literally saw her 3-5 times in a row.
One day, I went to a blog and this person had the girl's clock banner ( Some of you may noe, When you press it she starts singing and tells you the time ) and then I went to google her name and TADA! Hatsune Miku! ( I must say, I don't really like her at that time )
After that, I went to tell a friend of mine about this wonderful program call Vocaloid where by it sort of sings for you if you type in lyrics and everything. From then onwards we started knowing more about Vocaloid and stumbled on Nico nico douga<333 and their godly choruses.
What I liked about Vocaloid, was not because of the program. It's the producers work. Can you imagine spending about MONTHS working on a song and having to program the Vocaloid to sing it for you? Taking time is one thing, but the PASSION of it was simply amazing. It amazes me whenever I hear an epic song that is done with both heart and soul.
How I knew about YT Chorus?
- Spoiler:
- How fate started was when I watched your Akahitoha. It wasn't the best, but I don't think it's bad. It's Not bad actually, just that the volume of the vocals were so high that it sort of caused distortion sounds in it . I love to go youtube and nico nico douga to search for videos, so few months ago, I was searching for vocaloid songs in youtube and that's where I saw YT chorus, once again. ( If I remember correctly, it was Dear's chorus ) Then, I started to hear more of your choruses. So, roughly 1 month back I found this forum. During August 2010, I asked my friend whether she wants to join me in YT chorus ( I dont wanna be alone ) and she agreed.
So now, we are preparing for Yowamushi Montblanc chorus audition. She's actually ready but waiting for me because I want to resing it ( Some mistakes here and there that I want to fix ) So look forward to it!
I'm sure many of you here bear the same feeling as I'm having now. We want to SING. Not just sing, we want to sing with amazing voices that awes people, and let them enjoy. That is my goal, to sing with the correct techniques that doesn't ruin the song, but a tribute to the producers for doing such a wonderful job to shower us with their music. Also, I want to join groups and sing together, because that is more fun!
Oh god, I'm going off topic LMAO! Either way that's my story
Re: What's Your Story?
My story is very boring so .. be warned -sweatdrops-
Carette's story went like this...
I got into vocaloid last year after discovering Hatsune Miku on the internet. I was totally impressed and shocked by the fact that there is such amachine software that is able to sing! I started to listen to more and more of such songs as time went by (melt, world is mine, meltdown, kokoro kiseki, cendrillon, ... all the famous pieces at first, until I discovered the existence of more vocaloids such as luka, gakupo, kaito, rin and ren, and the weekly vocaloid rankings )
And then I discovered the people who are involved in the nico utattemita, otherwise known as the nico people who sang covers of the vocaloid songs! I was inspired by their voices and the level of their singing. I used to listen to only Tourai, Usa, Clear and Dasoku, but after I got exposed to the utattemita rankings, I listened to more nico singers
Recently, my friend who got into this fandom told me about the ytchorus (KAGO ) and then we decided to join. I am veryyyyy excited about joining this forum and improving my singing. It'd be great to join ytchoruses and spread this genre of music to the world! ^___^
and that's my story 8D hope it didn't bore you to death or something hahahah

Re: What's Your Story?
Well Let's See Um...
My Family Is Very Connected With Music, So From When i was little, like 3, i was connected with music, i used to dream about going to drama school to be able to sing properly, then when i was four i started horse riding, and it was a big knock out from music, and my drama dream was no more.
then when i was around 8, i heard a song on the radio, that i knew of by heart, (can't remember it any more) i also was getting more exited about music lessons in primary school, but nothing really happened.
then when i was 10, i started to take Guitar lessons, after my mum was looking at guitars on the internet, it occurred to me that i could play an instrument, so she bought me one, but at the end of that summer, the guitar just didn't appeal to me any more and i stopped playing it.
then a little while before my 13th birthday my sister (Outer-Ocean) introduced me to YTChorus And It's Gone on from there! x
I Hope I Didn't Bore You Too Much! x

Re: What's Your Story?
Well... I don't know if I'm really the most eligible person since I haven't even participated in a single chorus, but here goes...
I remember my first Vocaloid song well. I believe it was Saihate, in my recommended list. That was about two years ago, so I didn't pay attention to the meaning. I was 11. I just thought the song was upbeat and the character was really cute, so I clicked through the related videos. I was obsessed.
Later in late '08 or maybe '09, I saw my first Nico Nico Chorus video. It's the song that is the current layout right now... What's it called? Ahh, I forgot! It sounded really cool though. Then I forgot about it for a long time, forgot about Vocaloid... Finally, I wanted to find it again, but I couldn't. Instead I found Nico Nico Chorus's Just Be Friends. I clicked through the related videos, since I loved it, and I found THIS!! So I stalked them for a little bit, and I accidently found YouTube Chorus! Their videos introduced me to a lot of things.
Anyway, my first YTChorus video I saw was their Dear Remix Edition. I was in awe. I subscribed, they made the forums, and here I am...
Sorry if my English and grammar is bad or there are gaps... I'm tired right now. > <
Here we go~~~ >8D
i hope it didnt get too long ö3ö and i can understand when you fall asleep by reading this LOL
- Spoiler:
- hm~ my story's pretty boring i guessTEXTWALL FTWLOL
it was about 2 years ago when i used to hear mp3 player all night (i dont recommend that i got rllllllyyyyy bad headaches and i mean BAD YEAH!) so when i couldnt sleep listening to some random animu music in my ear getting headaches i heard Futatsu no negai i found it catchy and couldnt wait to look up the lyrics so i did the next day and tried to sing along~ from that day on i was into singing, tried to sing along to all anime osts i liked. I did it only for fun though or when i hadn't anything better to do i also wasn't focused on improving and after some time (1 year ago?)quit it and focused more on school, drawing and other things~ sometimes i hum to some songs i lked but wasnt egaer to try to learn them. I cant even remeber properly how i got into vocaloid (screw my brain xD) but one day i friend of mine showed me a video of levan Polka and another one i forgot i though they were cute.. but that was all. LOL Then some months later when i saw a fanart of vocaloid i wante to know more about it and googled it. At first i though it was an anime and wondered why i couldn't find any (FAILLOL) i also found something of a voice programm but also didnt know what it meant.(FAIL2) Then i found some vids of miku singing but didnt rly know what it had to do with them (FAIL3). So yeah they were interessting and i serched for more songs. And someday -i forgot when- i found out it wasnt some anime/manga (WIN haha). So i started to stalk some vocaloid songs spent hours and hours listening and downloading and last year summer i found my first nico singer! It was clear and till fall i didnt know there were more of them (FAIL4). I also wondered what everybody meant with nico nico douga and how i could view a vid.(Im pretty dumd and always get things late X"D) and then again some months later i found my my first chorus! I though it was cool and clicked like on every every thumbnail that looked like a chorused one (i ended up clickeng always the same one cause i could'nt read the titles LOL;; ) And then some months later i found ytchorus chorus akahitoha It was pretty cool but then again i clicked another vid and didnt pay a lot attention to it x"D Then later when i was into it again and found the yt channal i wanted to join one of these choruses. I though it was an awsome idea to make youtube choruses too. Then i registred here some months ago just to stalk a bit. I couldnt bring myself to audition because 1) i sing like uber crap and it is emberassing to me when other people hear it- one of the reasons why im only singing when my panrets are out lol)) and 2) becuase i havent got a good mic so i just stalked around and tried to learn those songs(yeah iwas into singing again and now i wanted to get BETTER too woohoo!)Then a week ago i could finally brought myself to introducing me i still sing like crap though xD So and now im here~~
i hope it didnt get too long ö3ö and i can understand when you fall asleep by reading this LOL

Re: What's Your Story?
Excuse my fail grammar/engrish! 8D
And that is my story of being a mental kid. Hope you enjoyed~ 8D
- Spoiler:
- It all started last year when I got into this band called Sound Horizon (Im a HUGE fan! 8D) I basically stalked them and listened to all their songs over and over again. Then I began to sing along with them. As a mental kid, my goal was to get in Sound Horizon ; w ; (I know, I'm mental xD)
Meanwhile... I got into this anime called "Umineko no naku koro ni." So I went on Youtube to search for videos about it, I came upon one of LemonTea62's joke dub and became an instant fan. o A o Months past and she got into singing, as a stalker I watched most of her duets and covers.
While searching Youtube for random Vocaloid and Sanhora covers, I saw that some people where amazing! So I though, "Why not try to make a cover too?" So I did :D Then I met Sora (soraxmanami) (She posted a comment on one of my vids xD) We became really good friends. > w <
One day she sent me a message regarding the YouTube Chorus battle, I was like "What's a YT Chorus battle? D8" So I clicked on the link she gave me for more information~ Then I joined her YTChorus Battle group and made an account on the forums. :D And here I am now still clueless of what YTChorus is.
And that is my story of being a mental kid. Hope you enjoyed~ 8D
Re: What's Your Story?
Because I just started university and have absolutely no friends and half an hour to kill ~
- Spoiler:
- This is the story of a girl, like many others, who stumbled on to YTC!
Anyway, I was in my 'LET'S LEARN THE HARE HARE YUKAI' dance phase. And I was watching so many group-dance videos and mentally mocking some of the bad ones, and staring in awe at the really good ones. So, I stumbled onto this video which compared the Hare Hare Yukai dance to this japanese girl group called 'Berryz Koubou'. And I was like: "Who the hell are they?". But I watched the video anyway, and it was a compilation of some of the group's dances, and it really looked similar to the Hare Hare Yukai. Someone in the comments wrote that the creator of Haruhi Suzumiya, really liked Berryz and therefore styled the dance after them.
Somehow I kept watching the video over and over again and I was like: "ZOMG. THESE GIRLS ARE SO PREPPY AND PRETTTTY!" And I eventually started youtubing their music videos, and got more and more hooked. Then I found other groups like C-ute, Morning Musume and Buono! And so, in short, I was hooked on Hello! Project music. And this continued on for a while.
This got me into fandubbing, because before finding out about H!P, I was already into singing japanese music (anime theme songs, mainly, and some jdrama music). But this actually made me want to start fandubbing. I started with auditioning for anime roles mostly Shugo Chara stuff (speaking parts), but somehow I ended up auditioning for the opening and ending themes. And baaam! To my surprise, the openings and endings of Shugo Chara were done by Buono, and this was when I actually starting posting singing videos on YouTube.
Anywaaaaaay, along the way I made more friends who were into this and I was stalking a friend's latest activity and saw that she had commented on YTC's Dear (remix) chorus, and I was like: "Ooooh. What is thiiisss?". And I clicked the link and was amaaaazed! DX;
Fr srs. After that, I subscribed and auditioned to get into the choruses. And yeah, that's how I found out about YTC! 8DDD And this is basically how I got into Vocaloid as well. I wanted to expand my knowledge of Vocaloid music so I could audition for more songs if I knew them. ^ ^

Re: What's Your Story?
Wow. What a nice idea, Jin.
I'm not even sure whether I want to type this up since well, my story is sooo boring compared to all of yours (I read a couple of pages ^.^), but here goes~
I'm actually a writer, producer, and voice actress. With my sound dramas in production, we decided to have EDs to our episodes... anime-style~ From there, one of my lovely voice actresses Miken, who is also now my best friend and shares my YT account vocally, was asked to sing the first ED to our first sound episode.
Miken probably doesn't know this, but at that time, I was amazed at her singing ability and learned not long after that she wished to dub more songs, but never had an excuse to do so. She also learned that Minnie here has a tendency to want to lead/create projects for herself out of sheer need to be busy. So... what happens when we learn this about each other? As you can see, we've been singing lots of songs on my YT account~ Yes, that best friend of mine got me into singing a foreign language I was not familiar with. She also wanted to start a singing group, but wanted someone else to play the role of leader. See. I blame her for everything
Anyways, a couple of months later, GGG was born and we were planning this group song... when one of our singers had to drop out of the project last minute. I had to get a replacement and fast. I asked one of the dubbers I admire online to participate in that group dub through PM. One week later, he replied positively and he also told me to go here if I wanted to get more singers for my GGG group.
And here I am. Boring right?

Re: What's Your Story?
Might as well try! Nyuu~
It started with what seemed kind of like a chain reaction. Maybe even when I was three, the time I started to really love singing. I'm not sure how it happened way back then, but I guess I was persistent enough in my love to remember the sooner times.
I was in the second grade back then, so maybe about...seven. My sister, who is four years older than me, was into a lot of anime at that time. Even though she always pushed me out of her room, I was intrigued by the shows when I got to watch them with her. Gradually, she started getting more and more out of anime while I started to get more and more into it. I started watching more and more on my own, renting it from the store, watching it online. Soon, I even found my way to manga.
Though my sister had lost her love for it, mine had never died out. When I was in the fifth grade, I was lurking around on youtube. A mysterious name appeared to me, and I was so naive to not think it wouldn't change me forever. "VOCALOID."
It was amazing: programs that could sing. In my favorite language, too! They were Japanese and each had characters that looked like they shot straight out of an anime. The first one, you might guess, that I was introduced to was "Hatsune Miku", the Vocaloid Diva. I grew more and more interested in Vocaloid, listening to it nearly everyday. "Kagamine Rin and Len", the mirror images, soon also became a favorite of mine. But nearly everything changed in February of the next year.
"Luka Megurine." She was the sound that went across the world. One of the first Japanese Vocaloids to speak more fluent English than the other Vocaloids. I fell in love with her cool appearance, mysterious voice, and sweet songs. It was her that led me to NicoNicoSingers, and through them that led me to YTC.
I wanted to be a part of it, I thought. Yet, I was so young and had no confidence. There were so many singers better than me, and I had no drive to pass an audition. But I started building up my voice more and more. Here I am today, hoping that maybe for the next song that is picked I'll be chosen. I can't believe everything that's happened from so long ago!
Well, there's my side of it all! Everyone's stories seem so much more lively than mine. XD

Re: What's Your Story?
Man. I remember when I was looking up an episode of Higurashi forEVER ago and here was this thing saying Vocaloid on it. Curiously, I clicked on it. I was like "lol what a auto-tuned singer." Then I went through the related videos and soon became very interested. I still hated this singer's voice though. It was Miku's. LOL.
Upon further research of typing in Vocaloid in the god known as Google, many results came up and I learned so much about the software and the characters. I only knew of the Japanese ones at first: Miku, Len, Ren and Kaito. It would be a bit later that I found my favorite singer of all: Meiko.
So for three weeks straight, I went through all the vocaloid videos I could, learning the songs, crying at some of them, laughing to tears...it was awesome. I went to a friend's house and introduced her to vocaloid. Three or four years later, we both still love the sheet out of them little robots ;u;

- English Lyrics (my story xD):
- One day, I was just searching up some pictures of a girl with green hair. Hey, my favourite colour is green so I wanted some green hair D< Anyways, the picture was for a roleplay. I came across a picture of Black Rock Shooter. She seemed interesting, so I looked her up. I found out that she was a girl created by Huke and not a girl that people thought she was, the girl being Hatsune Miku.
I was already into Japanese Music then, and when I learned that Miku was part of a robot type group thing that sang, I was ecstatic. 8D So I went on youtube and searched up the group she was in, Vocaloid. The very first video I found and watched was Kurotto, Odotte with all the nendoroids and such. 8D I liked it, and soon I started listening to tons and tons of Vocaloid music. I think this was back in January 2009.
After quite a while of Vocaloid loving, I stumbled upon my first Nico video: Ritsuka’s Sakura no Ame. * A * My first chorus was Step to You. 8D
Okay, back to the topic, I also became interested in voice acting. I auditioned for quite a lot, but only got accepted into three, which I don’t know if they’re going to be continued… Well, so my “last” voice acting audition that got accepted included a Vocaloid song, Melt. That was the very first time I posted up my singing (and man was it horrible!). … I get off topic so easily…
Ummm… So I got accepted, right, and I decided to continue my singing career. I auditioned for a group, and I got in. And then lots of time passed by, and my singing improved. … And I continued to sing. 8D
I searched for more groups, and I saw YTChorus auditions, but I wasn’t that interested in them at time. And I hate myself for not being interested because I could have been part of YTChorus earlier.
I was also waiting for the script and whatnot for the famine that I was in. I stalked around the creator’s channel, and found that she had auditioned for YTChorus, too. And I was still not interested.
It went on like this for a few months: singing with the group, listening to Vocaloid and Ritsuka, waiting for the script and ignoring YTChorus.
That is, until I found more choruses. I actually don’t remember how I started liking choruses, other than watching a chorus long before then and not knowing that it was a chorus. Oh, and I didn’t watch them from ANU’s channel. I also didn’t join YTChorus because of something on his channel. I didn’t even know until a few days before finding the YTC forums/channel.
Seriously, I should get back to telling my story of how I found YTC.
As I was watching Vocaloid videos and chorus videos, I remembered something about choruses and auditions. And I realized that it was YTChorus!
I looked for the fanime’s creator’s channel and I clicked on the YTC channel. I skimmed through the page and my eyes landed on the forum link. Since I already knew about forums, I decided to visit it.
This was still when the Just Be Friends auditions were open. I lurked around and stalked the forums, wondering if I should join. I kept this up until I fnally had the courage to join on January 20/21 of 2010.
And it’s been half a year. My experience in YTC has been awesome, and I know that it will just keep getting awesomer. I love each and every one of you who have made YTC such an amazing family.
And I just realized that these events, from finding out about Vocaloids to joining YTChorus, happened in almost one year.

Re: What's Your Story?
I figured I should share mine too!
Singing has always been my life, ever since I was a child, so I don't think I remember how I found that. But I can say, that for Vocaloid, which I hated at first, it was thanks to the few utattemita covers I heard from it (mostly courtesy of mong), where I grew to like the music, and realise that Vocaloid is a lot more than stupid pop songs that piss me off 8D. As for how I found YTC, I think it was a combination of mong mentioning things about it, and suggesting to me that I should audition for the Just Be Friends audition way back in December which prompted me to join : D
As for how I landed the job as a mod, it was mostly from me providing advice to Noki and Rin before, and then Rin deciding that she needed more judges on board. And then yeah, I don't think the rest is important, but somehow I'm a (useless) admin right now /o/
Singing has always been my life, ever since I was a child, so I don't think I remember how I found that. Re: What's Your Story?
How I found YTC. I was surfing the youtube this evening and was watching some NNC vids when I saw a video that said youtube chorus so I clicked on it. Loved it and immediately joined... I'm quite implusive. Though my story is boring and unnecessary since I just joined tonight.
