Re: Criticism, anyone?
Turn down the volume, 'cause the vocals are a bit loud. I know the effects are weird, but i was mainly just experimenting with the different types of effects in the program I use to record.
Please critique it, no matter how harsh. Just keep in mind, this is my first cover. >_<;
(I'm a noob, I know.)

I will bash you anyway D
jk jk I won't! XD
I listend to it, and there isn't much for me to say
I like how you sound (very cute), the song isn't that loud as you stated. (or maybe its just my headphones)
since its still experimenting.... I can't say much. I like how your voice changes according to the song.
the tempo was a bit I dunno.. weird? like the beat is off or something... Over all Good Job
@ Ciel
CROSS WHAT I SAID XD ! SING IT IN GOOD ENGLISH XD!!
fake speaking english IS hard.. not unless you stutter anyway xD; something which I'm good at xD
IMO, ENGRISH should only be kept IF the song intended it to be that way, because it makes more sense
some songs are meant to be sung in good english. while some sound better in engrish.
ANYWHOS!
OMG my terrible MICROPHONE!!!!
orz...
Please criticize my horrible microp- I mean. my monotone VOICE!!!
okay It can be help.. it was sung 3 am.. I have to like whisper >__>
;__;but still... its soo ugly sounding! and I mispronounce as always xD
I never do ever cover a song correctly do I ;__;

This is a pretty good dub except for the fact that you sound airy when you sing. This means that you aren't using the full power and potential of your voice. Some parts could sound better and more powerful in my opinion. XP
Here's a link about what to do about airy singing from Yahoo Answers~ :3

Good job on the cover anyways~ :3
Re: Criticism, anyone?
@89924 Precisely my point that uh, the song intended it to be Engrish. Listen to the original and you'll know. The rhythm will not flow the same way if you alter it/sing it in normal english ><
Re: Criticism, anyone?
Hi everyone~. Uh...I..XD....I recently decided to 'sing' really, like sing more and practice etc. (I didn't sing that much before ._.) I really want to improve, so I'd like to request critiques on my first cover.
Here~.
I'm taking part to Yoru kun's Starduster chorus~ I practiced this song a lotlot, but it still doesn't seem good to me....
Okay, kill me now OTL|| (with critiques) I really wanna get better at singing, so you can be harsh with me T^T I'd like to know what I should work on, and so on.~
If you have any tips for me, I'd love it ><
Thanks! :3
Edit : oooh, and I tried singing this with lots of emotion. But seems like it can't hear. xD

I've never heard the original song before, but this sounds nice.
The first thing you need to work on is to "open" your voice up. You sound like you are holding back your voice, therefore there's a lack of energy in your vocals. Though this got improved when you got to the chorus parts.
The second thing is that you might want to send more air through your voice, using your stomach as a support. This'll make your voice sound stronger and "warmer".
The timing was great, but you need to work a bit on the accuracy of notes. If you do use more air and support from your stomach as I mentioned above, the notes will be easy to reach, and sound more stable (instead of the "shaky" sound).
Also, you may want to add more reverb to your voice while mixing. It's a very slow song, the reverb can help soften up your voice.<3

Re: Criticism, anyone?
@Momoka~ Uwaaaa, thank you so much for your fast reply *A*
Actually, I have a naturally unloud voice, so it's more like my natural way of singing. Though I'm trying to sing louder in the chorus part ><
Thanks for the tip!! I'll work on making my voice more stable and stronger.
I'm often starting to run out of air on a few notes, I guess I lack breath support. I'll try singing with my stomach, as you said!
Thank you very much again for the useful criticising<3!
Edit : Oh, about adding reverb~ I actually just used my raw vocals and the bgm.... So no real mixing, only synchronizing in this. But I'll try to add some if I use it as a cover!

No problem darling<3
And for the "louder singing", I didn't mean the "yelling" kind of loud. It's the strength of your voice that makes it sounds loud. (which you can achieve by sending more air support)
Don't know if you've heard of the singer Chata or not, but she has a really soft voice too, though she still managed to sing with strength when she needed. Here's an example of her song:click!

yeah! there are some people who are like that.
They seem to have a powerful voice when speaking & singing on studio. But when you hear them in real life they actually have really soft voices xD;;; for example me 8D!!!!!! *shot*
while some people seem to have a soft/ soothing voice but when you hear them in real life they have a rigid/ loud/sharp sound to it xD;
and I saw her vid momo! her voice is calm and soothing, but you can hear her powerfulness/strength she uses towards the singing ^_^

@momo-san o_o I TOTALLY GET IT!
No, I mean I just really understood what you meant. xD She has a really unloud voice, but I can feel the strength in it. But my voice is still...A bit clearer and louder D: So when I try to sing like that it usually sounds like I'm trying to sing loud or scream.
I'll try to sing that way!! *A* Thanks again <3

Re: Criticism, anyone?
Hiiii. It's been a while since I've appeared in this thread!
Anyway, uh, I've been trying very hard to sing soft, mellow songs, since I figured I won't get any better if I don't practice. And all the songs I want to sing lately are soft, wispy songs D:
I tried to use what the Japanese people call "whisper voice" to sing...but I still sound loud. boo. I don't think whispering was very kind on my throat either x_x;;. Singing with no support means I go off quite a lot as well ;A;. I have no idea if I sounded good singing the song at all XD;;.
If you can, listen to it at Nico because the YT quality drop makes me cry.

Re: Criticism, anyone?
@Ciel: I think your whisper voice sounds great. The "off" moments are very few and barely noticeable. With practice maybe, they'll disappear. Your voice is great, damn. D: How could I have missed stalking you? -subs-
Haha, oh gawd. ACUTE reverse with Kaiko, Mikuo, and Luki. I apparently can't make Kaiko sound girly enough in the lower register.
http://www.4shared.com/audio/6DL5akwC/ACUTEreverse_audition.html
There is so much wrong with this, it's not even funny. Critique please. :D

Re: Criticism, anyone?
*bump*
Thank you Tsukiyo >< I still don't think I'm great at singing soft, though my voice has been getting softer with less of an edge lately. I've always wanted a slightly softer voice so I'm happy with where I'm going 8D
anyway, another soft-ish song from me! Er, I sort of gave up on the chorus and sang it normally so Q___Q. Whispering is hard!! Any critiques are much appreciated, since I'd really love to try singing another FullkawaP song in the future!

Re: Criticism, anyone?
@ChoAkkar: I thought the adlibs at the beginning were a bit off, but everything else sounded really nice! Your voice has a nice tone to it, and your your headvoice is especially pretty. You should unleash it more. XD There were parts at the verse were it seemed like it was a bit too low for your voice, but that song is low so everyone struggles there. XD I would suggest imagining the voice coming from somewhere from your toes to help hit lower notes-- strange as it is, it works. 8D I really did like this though, and I think you've improved from when I last heard you! 8D
Also, some criticism on mixing and singing on this would be very much appreciated! Hurl whatever you can at me, I'll take it all 8'D
