and it's in a .wav type. I think that it kinda affect the quality if used in WMM.

I always... Always use cheapso stuffs. xD First is my headset which is like RM28.90 and then my mic, which is Somic SM-010 which costed me like, RM23? -shrugs- Both are pretty good, depends on the songs since they somehow vary. The headset one has really low volume input, so... Harmonies go on that one! :3

About 10 years since I got it for video games. Never really cared for the microphone on it until just recently, and was shocked to find it working xD :D

i use an A4 tech headset. a cheap one.. but so far it's treating me well.. i think. ^^

I use the Ipod's mic xD But I hope I have soon a headset with mic like Siberia by Steelseries or something like that.

I have a......uhhhh.....It looks like a GE mic? That's what the logo looks like.

so far I've used 6 different types of mics 3 desk top and 3 headset.

the one I liked the most was the Logitech USB Headset. I don't know what version or what not it is but I got it for like $10 at walmart.

It gave me the best clarity and it hardly picked up any background noise.

I had it for karaoke revolution but we never played it so I decided to try to hook it up to the computer and try and sing with it.

Lo and behold it worked and I loved the quality but alas the kitteh's chewed through the cords (that's what happed to 4/6 microphones)

o.o I know my cat likes to play with cords, so I keep her away from my room... or at least the part with all of my computer/recording stuff... I've had 5 microphones.. 4 desktop and 1 USB headset. Three of the desktop ones broke (cord issues), and my other desktop mic is not sensitive anymore.. even when I change settings. My USB headset is all I have left. XD I hope it doesn't break... soon. I like it. o.o

Ooo yay, just recently got a Samson C03U USB Condenser Mic xD Wasn't cheap, though... but it has really good quality! Only problem is that it picks up sound too easily =P

So even the slightest sounds of neighbours walking past the window... gets picked up? (Doesn't sound like a very advantageous mic, then D= )

Depends how bad the sounds are. It can pick up airplanes on mine >>;;. For most part it's not TOO bad.

Any good microphone is sensitive to sounds in general though - that's how it can pick up your voice so clearly.

Wait, so if I'm singing a loud song... how far away from the condenser mic am I supposed to be singing from? o.O (I'm getting all confused; having difficulties adjusting to it...)

By right, I usually have my mic about an arm's length away, and have the recording volume at around 50-ish, haha. And that's mostly because I'm a really loud singer, so if you're not nearly as loud as I am, I doubt it needs to be that XD;;.

The further away the mic, the larger the natural reverb, unless you have a room with stuff to reduce reverberation (such as...my friend...who...drapes cloth on her wall to absorb the reverb rofl).

...Orrrr you can record in a walk-in closet if you have one. Closets like to absorb background noise. If you don't have one, you can have a pillow behind your mic? Just to stop some of the natural reverb if you room is huge and not sound-absorbant. XD

^ Yeap, the smaller the room, the less the reverb. That's also the reason why if you put your mic closer, it'll reverb less, but I don't recommend that with a studio condenser microphone, haha.

I use a mic that's built-in the laptop XD I dunno, I've been using it since I started dubbing~ doesn't work very great tho and my voice sounds like it's flattening against it too -_-;
