You may wanna take it off when your friends are in or they may get the wrong idea, The mic helps cover up the sounds when your saying P and you make a puff noise :p

If your closet is big enough, record in it. The clothes absorb the echoes and some of the noise :O

....and if you have stockings, you can make a homemade pop screen which gets rid of pops and hisses too. 8D

On my Macintosh I use the built-in mic. 8D
On my PC I use my Rosetta Stone headset. ^^

Samsung C03 USB Mic...
took me a while to convince my dad on buying it OTL
I used to use a desktop microphones because headset mics usually record some of the background music... OTL
So it was easier to use a desktop mic... And yeah, putting dry fabric on the microphone also helps reducing the background noise oAo

I use a pretty cheap microphone I bought over at Vietnam. It works really well though.

an iNTEX headset with built-in microphone...
it's not mine...actually... but i hate it.... just hate it... T^T
and my sound editing skills are not enough to make it better...
lol... i still don't have the money to buy a condenser mic...
but i wish i have one...

say, how about suggesting the best and cheapest mic?

Mine was bought for only five dollars and I have been using it for over a year now... although I doubt you can find it anywhere other than VN for cheap ^^;;

I have two mices

A simple small one to Skype and dubbing (VoiceActing)

And i have this HUGE think i don't know the name of... It is a real studio mice with mixer and everything... wah bai bai money Q_Q... I use that one to my SongDubs...

I use a Logitech USB mic. It came with this Wii game that I have called Boogie(or something like that). I barely realized I could use it to record on the computer too and it works pretty well, a few buzzes sometimes but it could be fixed with the Noise Removal effect on Aud.

I'm satisfied with it, so I don't plan on buying another one anytime soon.

Mong, that's got to be the most amusing advice I've ever heard 8DDD.

Anyway, I use a Samson C01U USB Studio Condenser Microphone, ahaha. It's not the BEST USB condenser, but I love it 8DDD. I got it second hand, missing the stand screw, so I...stand it in a cup. which is fine I guess, it does mean I pick up quite a lot of reverb LMAO. I really shouldn't do that. But my lines are always clear enough, and that way I don't have to run any reverb filters 8D;;. I do have to pick it up when I want to sing insanely high notes though, otherwse it rings a bit >>;;

I use an OM5. It's a dynamic studio mic, great for vocals. It's my baby. <3
I use the icicle usb microphone adapter with it.

. Now let's see if it improves my voice tone.

The mic is a Samson Go Mic. Cost $60 but a friend got it for $40. Funny how I would be willing to spend $300 on headphones yet won't be willing to go over the $50 mark for mics.

Currently I use a Logitech Clearchat USB microphone. It works well for its purpose, but I would like something better for singing.. It's good enough for now, I guess.

i've got a Logitech headset here but not a usb. XD
i wonder if it's better thank the one i've been using. Neutral

i cannot try it coz the mic's broken. :D XD anyways, what i was using is a headset's mic name Genius. hmm.. it's fuzzy, yeah and it records clearly the noise around me -- like those kids singing carol songs and the vehicles passing by. T_T haha.XD i am fine with the mic but i hate the noises. XD Razz

i'm thinking whether to buy a condenser mic or not. but most likely, i won't. heehee. :D coz i think that just a good recorder or mixer or editor is enough to remove the noise. :D the prob is, i dont know which program to use and where i can find it. Smile

Trust me, condenser mics pick up noise even...more clearer than you'd like. What it's good at doing is reducing ambient noise though (that is, just like, your average....air...noise, ahaha), so that it's barely audible. With that, just a tiny noise removal will give you totally clean lines.

But uh, my condenser mic picks up my housemate talking in the room below mine, so uh yeah, if you're hoping it's not going to pick up noises you can hear yourself, then...don't count on it XD. As long as you can hear it, it'll try to pick it up, just usually not very loud. ~~MANNNN I HATE IT WHEN IT PICKS UP AIRPLANES THAT FLY OVER A REALLY GOOD LINE I JUST RECORDED OMGOASIHKBGOIASHIAO~~
