I actually bought that one a long time ago for Skype calls. (It does hurt a lot on the ears after a while >A< )

It gets this annoying puffing sound in recordings when you place the microphone in the wrong position, but then again it happens with most headsets. xDD;;
They aren't really ideal for recording. It would be better if you could find a cheap desktop mic. owo

I'm afraid of cheap desktop mic HAHA!. The other day I was at a store that sells a few selection of audio/recording devices. I saw the desktop mics and all of them looked as though they might break the next day

But it never hurts to try, so I'm probably gonna get one this year end. ( And I'll probably get scolded from my father that I'm wasting money cause I just bought this headset this year LOL! )

I used to use a desktop microphone before. It has pretty good quality. I still use it for Skype calls.
The brand is called Salar, I think. (Made in China but it's really good xD)



I graduated this year so I got my parents to buy me a microphone upgrade. owo
I have the Lexicon Desktop Recording Studio bundle. It comes with and audio interface hardware, an AKG D88S microphone and free Cubase LE software+ reverb VST plugin (I never figured out how to activate the software though, so I use something else. xDD)

I have a $50 voucher from good results from my school X). So I'm probably gonna buy a microphone / headset with it.
Problem is, the store is a BOOKSTORE that sells quite a variety of items ( like computer programs, etc. ) It doesn't have a lot of varieties of desktop microphones ( 4 - 5 ) so I'm still considering.
Oh well, this headset of mine is not THAT bad. At least the noise cancellation works quite well

NOO KAGO! I think it's better to spend the money on something else, or invest on other good mics instead of buying those headsets that can be found in Popular. (the bookstore) since you already have one headset, why buy another one? (I think the headsets available at Popular are all about the same in terms of quality) Unless that headset has a mic that is reallllly good.

LOL I pretty much fail at this kind of technical stuff so I don't know what is a dynamic mic x.x I only came to realise the existence of condenser mics a few days ago.
but yeah WILL GO AND RESEARCH ABOUT IT MORE~
I am a student so $200 for a mic is out of the question. hahaha. Maybe something cheaper?

Ya thats why I'm hesistant. Nvm I still have a year for this voucher, lets see what else can I buy. XD!!

Popular bookstore's microphones are from other brands. You know, Logitech, HP, etc etc. So quality wise, should be the brand's not popular's

Hahaha! I have the same ones! I got them used for $10 in Gamestop. I was planning to use them for PS2/3 Rock Band.

I seriously want to get a dedicated sound card + mic combo like a Tascam US-100 or an Alesis iO2, but I'm low on budget right now. I'm still debating as to whether or not to get a condenser mic seeing my PC has about 3 LOUD fans in it, meaning lots of background noise being picked up by the mic.

I was using the webcam's built in microphone until now. My parents bought me a co1u condenser on ebay for me but the only problem is, it didnt come with a stand. So now I have to hold it up myself and try not to move the mic around so much T_T It''s reallly nice though...and heavy..

a cheap 15$ mic with a brand I've never heard of before called famous 8D
It's pretty good 8D compared to my LOGITECH mic >_>

Some buzzing noise is still heard,but I guess it's already nice one for such a cheap headset 8D;;. Dunno if it changes my real voice or not

I've been using a Logitech Clearchat USB headset, but I've just recently bought an M-Audio Producer USB condenser... Which instantly made me broke for the month. OTL I use the mini-tripod/stand/whatever;A; as I couldn't set the mic stand properly (is stupid, but their fault for not having a manual too OTL) It's really nice, though. XD

I also use a Logitech Clearchat USB headset : D! I just can't seem to tweak it so the quality is really good.

LOL I've used many mics in my time. The best one I got was for £6 back in the day. That thing was a tank man. It took burns, had no top on it (so the sponge underneath was all out and what not) was constantly stepped on, the wires were hanging out and the stand was competely bust. At one time, the stick part that's built to the mic that connects to the stand (typical desktop mic) snapped so I was literally just singing with the top of the microphone and it STILL worked, with beyond amazing quality. I miss that thing xD

At the moment I'm using a rockband one that Shockingbuggy gave to me when I went to America to visit her xDDD

haha I wish I still had the thing so I could show you. In the end it was half eaten a couple years back by my dog when she was a puppy xD A habit she's never gotten out of ¬_¬ I've lost 3 mics and countless headphones to that. They stopped releasing the model and replaced it with one that was a bit different. It sounds like I'm singing in a tunnel, so I never use it ;_; *shakes fist at argos*

I refuse to buy an expensive Microphone because wires hate me. My 2nd laptop charger this year is about to die on me as is the cable for my scanner. I'm cursed I tell you.

I recently got a Samson Go Mic

Smaller than expected Decent recording quality, buut I need a pop filter because when ever i say words with B's in them it goes BHH.
