[MONTHLY THEME] November: Risk of Rain ~ Due November 30th!

November is a chilly month. Brrr. It is also known as the month where you just get a lot and lot and... lot.. and lot... of rain. Because of that, this month's theme will be...


Pick a song that features rain! Let's bring rain to the forums~! Since we had lots of options last time, we will only have ONE theme this time. However, how you use the theme is up to you! (Also, sorry, no pun this time).

Guidelines

• Your entry must be done in the month of November to be accepted. Please plan accordingly.
  
• Pick a song that features rain. You can either add the rain sound effects, have the song be about rain, or have rain in the video. If you want to add rain, you can use this site or this site for free rain sound effects. Just be sure to credit them properly!
  
• Your piece of work does not need to be vocaloid-related.
  
• If you are covering a song, it should be at least 1:30 minutes long. If the song you are covering is not that long and it is the full song, please let Aerlith know in advance. If the full song is over 1:30 and you are just covering part of it, it still needs to be at least 1:30 or it will not be accepted.
  
• If you wish to write translyrics, please write translyrics for the whole song. 
  
• If you are doing art, please do at least half-body! A background is preferable, but if you can't do that, that is fine, too.
  
• In one or two sentences, please explain how your entry fits the theme.
  

Not sure what to do?

• Pick your favorite ballad and add rain effects to it, like this cover of Imitation Black!
  
• How about a song that already has to do with rain, like rain stops goodbye? Or Melt?
  
• Your character standing in rain. With or without an umbrella!
  
• Writing-wise, someone's stuck in the rain. What are they going to do?

Like instead of singing, could I do a piano cover of a song? I have one in mind as soon as I saw that rain was the theme xD

Sure, just add the rain. ORRR if it's already about rain, you're fine. You don't have to do a singing cover for this, can be an instrumental cover, too. ^^

Why it fits the theme: The setting of the song revolves being out in the rain and contemplating sadness. It's a depressing song about raining and crying.

uhm... maybe figurative? Like after the rain (/pain) goes away, there's bright sunny skies somewhere?

for next year's theme...maybe you can do "Nov-EMBER Lights" 

As the wind begins to make its way through the towns, and the fire begins to die out...sing about songs revolving around a dying or small light/flames. It can be literal (One Candle in the Night, Glow, Cremation Melody, etc.), or figurative (ex: losing hope; eight hundred, Sayoko, etc).

And daaarn. I hope I don't miss this monthly theme this time. This would have been my last one to do to get the badge...but I forgot to turn in stuff for October (and TakoLuka) grrr! Time to restart QvQ

Orrr--- based on the news lately... "It's SNOW-vember";  sing the early winter and snow fall in the north (curses Polar Vortex! It's already cold up here...)

For example, how about Nanoha Character Song (Yagami Hayate) aka Kana Ueda's Snow Rain? or Winter Wonderland? Baby It's Cold Outside? or a song by Yuki? Sei Naru Ni? Kobato's Ashita Kuru Hi (Winter verse) 

etc.
