Horay my video got copyright banned.

So yeah, youtube.

I had a look at the old thread about this and someone mentioned stating the actual company who 'owns' the covered music should work which I attempted and still got a strike and the video was banned from viewing. So how does other people avoid this happening to them?

Since I have not seen your video, I am not sure if this applies but a lot of the cases I have heard of where covers get banned is because of the video itself, not the music. If your cover included the original PV or a PV someone else made, it may be because of that.

Hm, that's interesting, though I don't think it applies here. I had a black screen since I cannot video; I just used windows movie maker to convert the .mp3 into .wmv

I was suggested to change the pitch a little, which I might try next time. For the time being I'll try sound cloud I guess.
