Please Help Stop The Stigma: Youtaite-Rage Tumblr

Hey there guys. I've been a retired youtaite, also known as Yuki, HakuraSakura (old youtube), UsasuYukiko (newer youtube), that has been here since May 11th, 2011. I have come back to ask you all one simple favour and one simple question.

     I've come back just for the sole purpose to ask you all to be aware of a tumblr blog that is with the username 


and stop the hate, stop the stigma, stop the (believe it or not) cyber bulling that I, you, and many others have witnessed. It may be twitter discussions, it may be tumblr blogs, but cyber bullying is cyber bullying. Would you really be willing to sacrifice your kind, loving, and caring youtaite heart to see, hear, or deliberately hurt other people?

If you as a reader, or person feel that you cannot read anymore of this for any reasons at all, then feel free to press the X button and leave, but let me remind you that this is for your sake, your friends sake, your youtaite family's sake, and the community's sake, no matter how small this may change it, I hope that in some small POSITIVE way that it will benefit our community and make it more peaceful, accepting, and just a lovely place to be.

i went on the page, and its sorta like artist-confessions, but for the youtaite community.
one of the posts were even talking about a person named Jin Jin, who is also telling people how bad the page is and is ragging on her/him. it seemed totally unnessissary.
and i totally see why you think this page is so toxic. A good amount of the posts are basically encouraging younger youtaite to not be in the community, and are even telling people to stop acting like themselves?? its bad.

not the ones which are bashing but some of them do spread awareness

I think this is hilarious and I enjoyed reading those please don't hate me

Most of them are brutally straightforward honest criticism, some of them raise awareness and at least the admin reject the confessions that get too personal (I saw one at least).

But I wish they wouldn't say those things in their backs and just tell the youtaites directly, that would actually avoid flaming in the future and at the same time that could be constructive criticism for them to improve. 

The flames aren't numerous but I do agree with the fact that some of them were really just plain mean .-.

I don't understand why a rant blog would filter their submissions on the grounds that they're whiny or bitchy. Isn't the point to be honest about how you feel without others judging you? (I mean, why should you be judged while you're judging others??)

I get needing to rant sometimes, but the problem is that on the internet anyone can see it and get their feelings hurt. It's also very easy for people who are usually nice and considerate to post something they regret later.

Also haters gonna hate, et cetera.

Some people probably don't know how to phrase it in a way which won't hurt anyone. Some people are just direct, like really direct.. Some people /maybe/ have tried to talk to the person they're talking about in the submission but I guess they got ignored/unheard?

To be honest, that page is really an eye opener, and it reminds everyone that each individual has different opinions. To some people, the page is just a bashing place full of hate and rage and can be used to anonymously backstab/bash people. To some others, they think that the page has its use, say, spreading awareness of the problems in the community. Like how people in the past/present protest the government for this and that, hoping to achieve equality, justice, etc. 

I'll point out a few examples:

Wo-Ai-Xing
Burgundy? Reddish curtain colour?

Like any other niche community on the internet, we're all base don raw talent and skills that we either are just born with or acquire over a period of time. I may not be the best advocate about this and my overall opinions of the Youtaite community are very strict and judgmental, I'm going to say this:
For as long as the Youtaite community will be based upon singing and performance/entertainment, there will be hate. There will be flames. There will be judgmental assholes with superiority complexes. They will be there, they will always be there. There is no about of pledging or voting for these things to cease. If you cannot handle such a minute dose of hatred and finger pointing then you do not belong in this community because if you find anonymous submissions that are vaguely referencing situations with no clear target enraging or disrespectful, then the flames that well-known people receive will tear you apart.
While yes, these type of things are bad and promote by being a Youtaite, hoping for them to disappear will not make them disappear. Hell this the the 7th Youtaite submission blog I've seen. So take it in an swallow it with pride because at the end of the day you're just singing Japanese songs on the internet.

That's the point, though. If we're just nobodies singing Japanese songs on the internet, why is all the hate necessary? Why do people even care enough to rage?

You are right though, not much can be done. But personally I feel like if I can be part of this community, anyone can. I used to be very sensitive and get my feelings hurt over every little thing and the idea of sharing anything I'd sung, drawn or written on the internet was scary to me. I'm not nearly known enough to get hate but the idea that it might someday happen doesn't bother me so much anymore.

The best thing to do is support the members of the community and maintain at least some sites where people feel safe from hate and judgement.

Because we all like to complain about things. 90% of the Youtaite-Rage blog is basically people just thowing out nit-picky complaints like IE submissions #308 and #302.
I'm also going to say that taking down a blog where people are voicing their opinions isn't going to solve anything. By cutting out "ragey" comments we're basically shooting our community in the freedom speech knee and when we lose that we just become a community that facades under being friendly and happy when in actuality it's not. The best solution is to just let bygones be bygones and move on. People are gonna have nasty stuff to say to others. People are gonna have differing opinions of negative attitudes towards others. A lot of the youtaites talked about on these blogs have accepted the fact that there ARE going to be people that you can't please. I'm not saying that we should let these blogs run rampant and completely destroy everyone's happiness and fun, but cutting them out isn't going to help either. By just letting it exist as what it is, an anonymous rant box, and moving on we keep the community at a steady balance.
