Pair/Trio Battle Idea: want opinions! o/

AND. I was thinking something aboud those votes. What do you guys think it's best?

1- YT Like/Dislike ratio? (EDIT: Or Like/Views ratio, maybe)
or
2- Direct voting on each battle? If we have A vs B and C vs D, someone could cast one vote on each battle(for example, A and C)

Another thing. We were thinking about doing a smaller tournament, with 8 or 16 groups participating. And the slots for that tournament would be decided...
...by a race. No deadline, and the first groups to deliver the song (according to a chosen theme, of course!) would get into.

I think, that there is a thread every round after the deadline 4 covers are over. There ya put out every covers and people vote

Vote is better in general. View score can be easily fake. FOr like and dislike. I dont think there is much people will put an effort to do it or most likely forgot/ignore...

Voting will be indirectly make people focus on it especially in forum feature??
At the same time, We would know who vote thus there will be no fake votes.

However, the person who vote for the songs will be exposed ~.~

We were thinking about voting by YT message, and possibly email too. That way, voting can be secret, and random people who like Vocaloid but for any reasons aren't registered on YTC can vote too.

email is to much.... it worst den liking...considering the lack of use of email for many ppl.... maybe can try fb app?? or just fb "like"

What you should do is make a poll. Because Shinji is right when he says that email is WAY too much.

Email would be a second option, only. And the bad thing about polls is that it's quite easy to cheat.
I can take a look to see if i can find something on the Facebook API that lets me make a poll where you can vote using FB accounts, AND keep the voting anonymous.

Why don't use the same 'voting thing' VocaFusion uses? I mean, it's kind of a blog, but it's 'connected' with FB account. Don't remember.

Anyway, voting will be umm... I definitely prefer if the scores were counted by likes (makes everything easier). //shot

I suggest that you make your first draft of mechanics / criteria then show it to everyone. That'll make life easier :D

We might do something similar. I might try doing a small Facebook App that shows the videos and has Vote buttons. :3

and i agree the voting idea. because e-mail, when people see the video and then they wanna vote for them, they have to log in their e-mail, which is too complicated i must say. ;;

But it depends on what you're going for - if you want it to be a singing competition and not a "whose-video-is-awesomer" competition, judging on animation/ giving extra points on animation will get you in hot water with some people. -_-" Besides which, it may be difficult to get animations for a duet/trio.

Hmm, i don't really think so. The idea of giving a group extra points for animation would be... like, giving only a few points. Nothing much, or else it would unbalance the whole thing.
