Pair/Trio Battle Idea: want opinions! o/

Ok, so me and Shuya were talking, and we had the idea of making a Group Battle - like Vocafusion, but it would work a bit differently.

We would have 2~3 singers only, with at least 2 singing per round. After a first classification round, the pairs/trios would be paired up, singing the same song in a head-on battle, where only one would go to the next round. (ex: Group A and B will fight singing Meltdown, and only the best of the two goes through). Deadlines wouldn't be that harsh, and because of that, the battle would be a long one, possibly lasting a whole year.

So, i'd like to ask for your opinions on this, before we try working seriously. Would you guys participate? Do you think the idea is nice? Do you want to kick me for that?(no, please don't)

I'd totally love to see something like that, though it would be a lot of work. Unfortunately, I'd probably never participate since I really am not too great at singing solo or duets.

Will one person be "left out" if he/she can't sing in any round? Or can that person be assigned as the mixer while joining in some rounds too? [I have very little time to sing ;w; that's why I'm asking.]

the timeline for 1 year is abit too long....some may have finals or other stuff going on thru some period..

I would suggest, you list out first to final round song 1st

Sure, the person can be assigned as the mixer in some rounds and sing in others as well. Like, we're taking into account the spread of time each person has and the fact that the competition may end up being rather long, so we're allowing people to sit out for certain rounds while not dropping out of the contest altogether. But we DO want to have 2 vocalists per round, at least.

I...do not really get what you mean ^^; Like...I don't understand what you mean. You mean we should list the songs you guys get?

FYI: First round is a FFA, meaning you guys can choose any songs y'all like. Final round will be the same. In between, we're still deciding how the songs get selected/if we even want to select them or leave it to the groups to decide on a song based on a theme.

Good point, thank you for raising it! Depending on how we wish to do this, it might be possible. I will confer with Mai further when she's awake.

I guess rule number one is: Ya can only b on one group (just 2 make sure with the other)

And explaining a bit more about the "whole year" thing: we were thinking about one and a half month per round, with half a month for judging and voting(yes, there will be voting, maybe based on YT like/dislike ratio). So, if we get to 6 rounds - and that depends on the amount of people -, we'd have a year round battle.

As a starter, I advice to make 1 with smaller scale 1st. ( unless you guys are already good in this ~.~)

I loved the idea and would participate for sure! But yeah.. One year is too long, but.. Well, it's gonna be a year full of great covers!

No, 2~3 people wouldn't count mixer and animator. :3

You know, a year would be a long time but I think that I would consider it now that everyone likes the idea.

We're thinking about that. We're not participating, of course, that would be unfair since we would know the themes and stuff. xD
