I guess all in all, music is about connections. The results may sound nice or bad, sure, but it's the process that's important, no? Along the way we'll get to know more people and they'll be your future connections to a bigger dream (if you dream to be a musician lol)

Hmm. I think singing for a chorus makes me motivated to actually record something, though it's a bit of a pain if you're expected to sing the whole song. It's more motivating if just a few lines have to be sung.

Ah, maybe I phrased that a bit badly.
It's not that I dislike singing songs whole. It's just that when I record I'm personally never completely happy with the result of singing a whole song since I feel some parts sound off. With parts it's easier to concentrate on certain bits and try to 'perfect' them (though that never works out for me either). That's what I was referring too.

Now I can understand what you mean xD

And... I think I need one more week too since my throat (vocal chords) just got better today, but I still can`t sing yet

It's not that I dislike singing songs whole. It's just that when I record I'm personally never completely happy with the result of singing a whole song since I feel some parts sound off. Truth be told, I get that as well XD but only if I listen to my covers a lot of times (which I usually do unless I swore never to touch a certain song ever again in my life)

I think the more I listen to the same cover, the more I get used to the flaws in it and just... get over it. I think when listening to it once you notice less flaws, then you notice more, and after a lot of times you blank them out. Kind of like a negative quadratic curve? Depends on the person though and how it affects them, I think.

Now that I think about it, it would be quite interesting to study the effect of listening to something over and over again on a person's liking of it (I bet someone already studied this though).

I should check for research papers on this topic. It's pretty interesting (though I wonder if I'd have to time to even read the papers, considering how many journal articles I still have set to read. orz).
