You are AMAZING. This guide is a total godsend to a mixing noob like me who only knows how to use noise removal and amplify.

I've got a question, how do you put a recorded file from audacity to windows live movie maker? So I can make a video and put it on youtube. (i always export it as mp3)

Ooh, thanks for the advice~ I love you
Soon my recordings will sound really good! That's why most of the time I record with my camera when I'm not doing a duet... pale

Export as an MP3 and then just do a basic audio upload to WMM. If it doesn't work with MP3, just try wav. Sometimes, it only accepts particular formats.

I like it, but I'm not getting the results I want. In the Campanella cover, the radio effect on the beginning lalala's were what my covers sound like right now. I don't get how I could make it into a clearer tone as the lalala's a few seconds after it. I mean, I've done the whole guide, but it still had that radio effect on my voice. Further help please?

  • Audacity doesn't come with autotune, but there's a plugin we can download to do the same thing. ChoAkkar introduced it in the second page of the topic. It's called GSnap. Download it here. And extract the contents of the archive into the plugin folder (located where you installed Audacity)
  • Restart Audacity and you should now see GVST: GSnap... in the Effects menu.
  • How do you use GSnap? I don't actually know... I installed it because I thought I might use it for the Campanella audition, but I ended up leaving it pretty prestine. Maybe someone else will contribute? If not, I'll update this after I try it out.

I have the settings for the Autotune/GSnap I found in youtube C:

Spoiler:
or if doesnt show anything... https://2img.net/r/ihimg/f/696/gsnap.png/

Had the same problem.

Make sure ALL of them are checked.
Re-start audacity and it should be there.

This is just what I need! Why didn't I find it earlier? It may be an old thread but it's still helpful. Thanks a lot!
