Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
@QrMOMOKA
world peace kinda reminds me of the Olympics o_o
I just thought of something.
Smiling has it's title probably because "Nico Nico Douga" means "smiley videos"
so should we do something like that with ours?
YOUtube
YOU
Project to YOU
Anata ni, Project
or something....not sure if that's correct grammatically or meaning wise

I agree with Luna, that sounds pretty good. (I never really thought about why Smiling has its title; you're really smart, heh.)irO wrote:Project to YOU
Man, irO, just be this group's person who creates all the ideas, why don't you, hahaha.

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I love this idea, creating a song is hard but if we all cooperate it will be easier, Hopefully we can make something, I can´t unfortunately play any instruments but my voice, I can help lyrics wise though, so yeah, I´d love to help in any way possible

you're so nice...
i really like "Smiling" and a collab project between everyone here recreates the homey-ness ^^, which is why i'm going to pour a lot of my energy into this
okay we have to consider a lot, like
fast/slow paced?
genre of song?
number of singers?
structure of song?
c'mon budding song writers we need you in here!!!
Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
For the pace, I wonder; if it's fine by fast. xD Because happy songs are usually fast-paced. :3
Genre... .. We all vote. xD
Number of singers.. OKAY, whoever wants to sing, raise up your hand!
That... I'm not sure...

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
it should be fast pace since a slow pace would mean less people singing in it if we want solos like in smiling.
As to the genre of the song I guess we're kinda limited to non-electric instruments so it would be just acoustics so far.
Structure of the song? uhmmm well we have to find a way to keep a good structure between the verses in different languages and the choruses

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
ok so far:
fast paced song
i doubt the number of singers is going to be a low number @_@
do we have any MAC users in here?
with GarageBand we're not limited as much by the instrument choice...
i think if we get the scores together i can ask my brother for his macbook....
but chances of that are dangerously low

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I think I might invite a good friend from another forum who enjoys composing music to see if would like to help out.
Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I love irO's idea and song title~ I wish I could help in the instrument department, but I don't have skillz.. at all. D: I guess I can help with lyrics? Although I've never done anything like that before.. I want to sing. XD
Yes, a fast paced song would be better since slow songs tend to be on the somber side.. plus we want to be happy because we are celebrating our awesome YT Chorus community. =DD
I agree we are a bit short on instruments, so acoustic would be best.. maybe a keyboardist could inject some electric/techno-yness into the song...?? I'm not a musician, though. I'm clueless. XD
'Smiling' had ~29 singers, so I think the maximum number of singers should be capped at ~25-30 singers, and the minimum should be ~20 singers. We want to give the impression of a large, but supportive community. If we have a lot of singers, we can always make more than one version. It would be a lot of work, but the end result would be epic. ^^
As for the structure, I guess the beginning should be in English, and the chorus should be in English or mostly in English. Japanese should be the next prominent language after English, since most of us cover Japanese songs. All of the other languages should have lines all throughout the rest of the song.. I wish I could help more with this part, but I can only speak and write English.. I can't make lyrics in other languages, but I guess I can sing in Tagalog?

@Elianti
ELIIIIII *shot*
i like the "more than one version" idea
we can do like different styles/genres
but first off
we need an ORIGINAL version before we can make different versions

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I have LMMS to help with the composing. Somewhat lame, don't you guys think?
But I have heard of them nicely-composed electronic sounds made from the program, so.. :D

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
Yeah, slow song, I agree xD
I think that it would be REALLY COOL if we take from reference to do something ''electric'' from P.·.Rhthmatiq (I mean, they are awesome...)
(For those who don't know them, this is my favourite song from them:
)
Of course this is a reference if we do something electric ^^
Also, I can play a bit with FL Studio...

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
Actually, I have to make a soundtrack for my RP's game with it, I just need to confirm with my crew what genre haha. Well, it took myself a while because mine was installed in Japanese. I'm lucky almost everything was in Kana.

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
@ irO: irOOO~ I actually meant having a different group of singers singing the same song, but I guess different versions of the song would be fine too after we make the original version..
@ chou.: I heard some of the songs made with the program.. pretty cool. ^^ I downloaded it, but I don't understand it.. o.o
Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
@Elianti
I downloaded the program 10 minutes ago and I know how it works, it's not that hard, but it has a lot of options xD

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
@Elianti Yes, there are a lot of things you can play around. I figured it out the next day because the day I downloaded it I didn't have much time to play around with it afterwards. It's rather easy, you see. ^^

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I can mabye help with the lyrics. I know swedish and I'm pretty good at japanese too.
I think that many people are willing to be in this project, so my idea is that all people who can sing well are welcome to sing in the last chorus like the grand finale! That'll be awesome!
And some choosen people will sing as the main singers with solos and everything. How do that sound?

Re: Creating a song*Please say what language do you speak*
I can't help with the instruments.. though i have vocaloid2 Miku, and the Kagamines.
That means if we want them in our chorus too, i can make them sing. But they'll sound a bit retarded when singing in english..^^;;

Yeah, I have Vocaloid too (Kagamines and Luka), maybe we can write just verses in japanese for them...

@Luna
yeah! My japanese isn't that good though.. like, i can read and play games and watch anime.. but can't write anything that sounds "pretty", if that's fine..
And Luka'd be able to sing in english.. with a weird accent lol.
