Some questions about Audition...

Some questions about Audition... Empty Some questions about Audition...

Post by QrMOMOKA Tue Mar 02, 2010 6:14 pm

Finally, I decided to stop using my old CoolEdit Pro, and move on to Audition.
Well, actually, CoolEdit isn't bad at all, but the thing is that Autotune's graphical mode won't work in CoolEdit, which pisses me off. D: The auto mode is just a voice destroyer.
So first of all, I want to know if the graphical mode works in Audition. If not, there's basically no point in changing.
And those who successfully used graphical mode in Autotune, tell me what program you're using please. :3
Another question is, can Audition open .ses files?
I have a few unfinished dubs saved as .ses(CoolEdit's save file). I want to make sure that Audition can open them, or else I need to finish them earlier.
Thankies<3

FYI: CoolEditPro IS Adobe Audition. The thing is, Adobe bought CoolEditPro and made it better.. That's all. ^^

Better? LOL
In some ways, yes but I heard that CoolEditPro was actually more stable. Adobe Audition crashes when I use some VST plugins. Also, the preview thingy doesn't work so well sometimes and crashes it. Moreover, many VSTs aren't compatible with it. 8DD;;

A friend of mine has used the graphical mode on Adobe Audition before so rest assured it will work. owo

Yes, it does freeze often and lags quite a bit sometimes, but overall using it for mixing is a lot easier IMO. The reverb lags like heck >_> and it doesn't let you stack many effects together before the track freezes....One thing I encountered with Audition was an issue with saving. If you're like me and you save every 5 minutes, something goes wrong with Audition writing over the session file and it freezes when it's loading.... A lot of people have suggested saving with different filenames every so often to work around this...but then there'd be so many files to work with X_X
Autotune also glitches at some point if you pause the preview before you click OK.....
