[MONTHLY THEME] April: Spring Sincerity ~ Due April 30th!

April is the month when Nature begins to open up. Because of this, this month's theme will be...


This month, the theme will focus on the idea of openness, trust, acceptance, and tolerance!

Guidelines

• Your entry must be done in the month of April to be accepted. Please plan accordingly. 
  
• Pick a song about acceptance, tolerance, trust, or being open-minded (accepting someone you love the way they are).
  
• Alternatively, pick a song that is related to spring itself!
  
• You are also free to talk about the lack of any of these themes!
  
• Your piece of work does not need to be vocaloid-related.
  
• If you are covering a song, it should be at least 1:30 minutes long. If the song you are covering is not that long and it is the full song, please let Aerlith know in advance. If the full song is over 1:30 and you are just covering part of it, it still needs to be at least 1:30 or it will not be accepted. 
  
• If you wish to write translyrics, please write translyrics for the whole song. 
  
• If you are doing art, please do at least half-body! A background is preferable, but if you can't do that, that is fine, too. 
  
• If you are doing a written piece, as long as it has to do with the themes mentioned above, it will be fine.

Why it fits the theme: The song is an opening from a Hong Kong period drama called Relic of an Emissary.  It's about the royal family in ancient China fighting each other for power using politics and a lot of underhanded and dirty tactics.  It relates to the theme because there is a near total lack of trust  and tolerance between each other. 

I was able to record this super fast because I already knew the song and didn't need to learn it OwO  I do apologise that I had to record over the on-vocal, as I could not find the instrumental for this song.

Why it fits the theme: Acceptance, tolerance, trust, name it all, the song has everything similar to that in it. Unconditionally is a song that touched me deeply and it was easy for me to relate to it because I care deeply about people, especially those who have a hard time accepting themselves. I chose and sang this song dedicated to my friends and those who have been with me for a period of time in my life. Know that I'll still love you all no matter what, even if we've drifted apart or done terrible things to each other, or just not as close as we were before.

How does this entry fit the theme?: The song is about how Rin's love for Miku is not allowed because Rin is an angel. Therefore, Rin has to make a deal with the devil and give away her wings to become human. So it is basically the opposite of acceptance/tolerance/open-minded.

How does this entry fit the theme?: The song itself and the anime that it is the ending for (Aldnoah.Zero) both talk about the desire for peace and hating war, as war arises from lack of trust and tolerance between different groups. Also, there are lines in the song that translate to "How long do I have to scream to be understood?"

Hopefully it isn't too much of a stretch to use this song for this month's theme, ahaha

How does this entry fit the theme?: Spring reminds me of (as typical as this sounds cause anime), a new school semester, romance, cherry blossoms etc. This piece reminds me of (cause of the anime LOL), meeting new friends and starting a new chapter in your life. Spring reminds me of these sorts of things.

How does this entry fit the theme?: The song is about accepting yourself for who you are--someone who is imperfect, but also someone who is beautiful. It's accepting the fact that you can't be happy if you're not true to yourself.
