[CLOSED] Looking for 5 (Edit: 7!) persons BURNING WITH PASSION.

Hey there! I'm creating a chorus group aimed at the less experienced singers. Are you new/not-so-new, active and want to experience and help make a friendly, helpful chorus group? Do you want to improve on your singing, recording, or perhaps mixing? I'm looking for 5 passionate members with the primary focus on singing, with mixing/mastering/art/animation as a possible secondary skill. The mixer (and possibly artist, animator) will be assigned after the auditions are over depending on who wants it the most. Naturally, the idea of this group is that everyone gets involved and helps each other so you won't be alone on it. The song that will be used for the chorus will be chosen based on all members' abilities.

While finishing a chorus would be the main goal, it is encouraged to involve your own works as well so you can discuss it with the other members. Do you want to know how to make it better? Or perhaps you want to show the others how this amazing trick works? GO GO GO!
Simple friendly conversations are also encouraged, as it keeps the group together. (But do try to involve everyone) We will be using Skype as our communication method.
Besides the chorus, I will also possibly create some fun side projects to keep up the spirit.  If you have any suggestions that'd be great too!

If things work out well (Which requires all members' support!), I intend to increase the amount of members. If one or two members happen to drop out (which I don't intend to happen) I will contact the next person who'd make it through the auditions.

Mix : I only know how to time well ;w;! But I would like to learn about Compression/EQ/Tuning/Pitching/Mastering/etc.
Draw : My style is shoujo manga. I draw with my mouse (Because I suck with a stylet ;w;). I would like to learn how to do nice coloration.
Animate : I can only animate with Sony Vegas because After Effects makes my computer crazy ;w;.

Just to clear it up, new members can't post links for seven days and they can't send PMs until they have at least five posts. As long as they don't include the http:// though, it should work. Not sure if they can send links through PM, but the other options you listed would work.

Would it be all right if I auditioned? I've been active for about a year and several months though, not sure if it qualifies as not-so-new or not. Only participated in one chorus group, but it went pretty much inactive after the first month or so.

I suppose I wasn't clear on that, but "new/not-so-new" is more a suggestion than it is a requirement so anyone is free to audition if he or she wants to! If you think you can contribute to the environment I described then I'd love you to audition. >w<

Audition: GLIDE - has some minor autotune. If you want to hear one without: VOiCE
I am good at: Mid-range. Beyond that, I'm not really sure. I'm working to do something new or different or difficult each time I cover a song.
I want to improve at: Adlibs! When to use them, when not to? I think I tend to overadlib sometimes, so having a sounding board would be good. And also harmonies. I tend to rely on harmony guides. Breath support, belting. Getting more expression in.
I also want to (mix/draw/animate) for the chorus: If it's a small project, I'd like to help mix, but I don't think I'm skilled enough to handle a project with everyone. I only know how to do a few things.

Other info: I'd like to learn some more tricks of the trade. I've kind of been experimenting with mixing myself, so having people I can bug comfortable about mixing would be great. Plus I really like the idea of a group where everyone works together and helps out.

I'm considering a small change of plan.. which is to increase the amount of people for this chorus by 2. However, I'd first like to have the opinion of those who want to (help) mix/draw/animate, since this could very well make it harder to mix, require more computing power, time, etc. (I don't put as much emphasis on drawing/animating to be clear btw, so the drawings/animation don't have to be overly complicated; just creative w)

Hell, if I felt like it was practical I'd just take all of you! But for now, a total of 8 persons is really the limit. (Depending on what you guys think)
