What triggers you to do your first song cover? ／人◕ ‿‿ ◕人＼

For me....is because nico nico singers,I hear their song cover so cool...so I wonder what is it feel like to do a song cover...and I start do my first song cover... =w= I basically do not sing in the past until I do my first song cover ／人◕ ‿‿ ◕人＼

For me, it's wanting to sing.

I like singing. When there's a song I know that's playing, I tend to sing along. If I don't know the lyrics then I hum. I can't help it... I've also participated in karaoke and real life choruses.

As for my first cover on YouTube, it's mainly frustration because I couldn't seem to learn Canvas by +Plus. lol

The first cover I did on YouTube in 2008 was uploaded because all my friends at the time did it. It seemed like a fun way to get better at singing.

Even though I haven't sung for YouTube for YEARS I still get the motivation to do a cover from time to time when I'm just singing along to songs on my own =) I never actually record it because I don't feel like I can add something new to it.

I think it was inspired by seeing a lot of talented Nico and Youtube singers. I'd sometimes sing along to anime openings and endings whenever I watched the shows, but it never really occurred to me to ever try recording my singing. I quickly found out I didn't sound even half as good as I thought I did... xD But I think getting more interested in Vocaloids and wanting to do covers of them made me develop a passion for singing and it increased my appreciation when listening to music, too. <3

The recording result is always not the same as I think...I thought i did not off pitch but then when i play back....

I had always enjoyed singing and I didn't think I was very good... But I just decided to record something and upload it. I sang Melt, which was a song I fell in love with... It was kind of my introduction to vocaloid and the fandom and everything that came with it - the artists, the musicians, etc. It was soo bad, and the quality was poor, but I was really proud~

I think for me, I always really loved singing. Even when I was 9-10 years old, I'd discovered Vocaloid and heard other people singing, but back then I didn't really know how to record myself and do covers, so I do it now. :3 I first started off just joining collabs and stuff, but now I cover stuff, so yay! xD

I did my first cover (If We Were A Movie by Hannah Montana) back in 2007
cus at that time covering on YT just became a thing
and my friend encouraged me to give it a stab because I was a huge singing person back in elementary school

there was no mixing
just me playing the instrumental in the background and recording myself with a really crappy mic.

Back in the day there was a singer named J with a Kaiba icon and he was cool and I wanted to be as manly as him. I never did achieve that amount of manliness

because someone has challenge meh...
simply just that.. i'm weak for challenges
