new mic issues
I recently switched from a rock band mic to a samson Co1u mic
when I try recording with the new mic, It always sounds like Im talking into a tube
Im not sure if thats suppose to happen or not but I could use some help figuring out whats going on
the program I use to record is Garageband
any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: new mic issues
Besides the very small possibility that your mic is a defect, try check your sound settings in your control panel (for windows anyway). Under the "recording" tab, make sure your samson mic is enabled and set to default and not the Rec. Playback or Microphone Array. I've accidentally recorded a few things using one of those input settings and it ruins the quality is much lower than the actual mic. Another thing you might try is turning the mic around. When one of my friends got his mic, he tried recording himself speaking into the back of the mic and not the front and the mic picked up a really bad echo. Hope that helps!
