New All-Male Chorus Group (OPEN)

In light of the fact that I've been here for over a month and no auditions have been planned, I'd like to test the waters for a moment. As the title says, I'd like to form an all-male chorus group that would collaborate on multiple projects.
The group would be called the Epicloid Chorus, would have (at the most) 12 people in it (auditions required, but I'll discuss that soon), and would be a group dedicated to...wait for it...Western music. Consider: The Nico Nico Chorus participants are singing songs in their own language, so why don't we?
I can mix and sing, but we will need an animator.
AUDITIONS: Each member of the group should send in their own audition. You will be auditioning once for the group, and then (if applicable) for solos separately once they've been announced. The audition can be any song you want, as long as it is Western and features actual singing, so no rap, please.
For those who'd like to know, the first project will be a full-group song, Fireflies by Owl City. I'll discuss that once we actually have 12 people.

I would totaly join except I'm not froming western so it's not my mother language at all XD
I like the idea but I don't think I could do a bunch of english songs as fast than in japanese.

Hmm. Sounds like an interesting proposition. Is there a deadline for auditions?

Not really. For now, we're looking for 12 people, so, whenever you can get it in. ^^

So, another question. Would official translations of anime songs work for auditions?

Does it HAVE to be a western song? >_<

What are you doing for the arrangement for Fireflies? (Do you have an arrangement? o___x) Do you have, like, a twelve-person arrangement?

Are you foreseeing mainly pop/current music, or something? Focusing on rock/roll, and dipping into swing? Hard techno? Boyband ballads...?

I'd really like to do some A Capella stuff, but I'm not particularly talented at writing arrangements, nor at getting people to want to work with me (I tend to be abrasive and rude, insulting and a braggart as well).

@Eri Inoue: Fireflies is the experimental number. I'm not doing an arrangement for it because I don't want to make my first mix job too complicated, so we'll do it the Nico Nico Chorus way-harmonies will be optional.

@MagnetBird: Audition info is already up-you can sing any song you like to audition for the group, but anyone accepted will have to record certain songs, the first being Fireflies. Future songs may involve fewer members of the whole group, in which case auditions will be required for that specific song.

Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can do to come up with a reasonable song that doesn't suck to audition with... I''m not great at that part.
