I'm also quite a big fan of bubble tea. The city where I live is quite infested with Asians, so it's pretty big there and there are shops here and there. To be honest, since whenever I go out with my friends, we always go to drink bubble tea, I've gotten a little sick of it. -_-" There's too much sugar. (But the tapioca pearls and fruit jelly is awesome! >w<)

The bubble tea parlors we have are often tailor-made to suit college students like me, so I quite like the atmosphere there.

All bubble tea places that I go to are always in Chinatown.. It's where loads of people go to.. I'm sure you can ask for less sugar in your tea? o.o Although they charge us for that in some places in the UK ¬_¬

Yeah, we usually have choices as to how much sugar they want us to put in our milk tea. This crazy girl loves sugar though. -nodnod- @Karii, really? They charge you more to put... less? -blinkblink-

And after doing Chemistry and noticing how badly students understand the definition of 'cleaning', I would be kind of scared to drink out of a beaker...

I work in a biochemistry lab. 8D Things in beakers are not things you drink, considering that pretty much every substance in the lab/that could go into a beaker can kill you. I wouldn't drink out of it, but I can always watch my friend drink it in terror because he/she knows that whatever I refuse to drink is probably gonna be bad for them. 8D /evil

It's true that I can ask for less sugar, but somehow... I guess it feels a little less like bubble tea that way? Haha.

@candy yup they charge you more! It's ridiculous especially if they still put the same amount in

all the diet stuff like fizzy drinks arent really true.. It contains more of those processed substances and actually contain alot more sugar than the normal drinks.. It's expensive because of the preservants and their E numbers I think.. I generally don't go for anything that is contains low ___ mainly cos I'm broke and I'm generally quite healthy xD

Yeah, I don't think we've been given stuff that could really kill us yet. But then we haven't tried drinking any of it (gosh, I hope not). They'd probably land us in hospital for a good amount of time though e__e

.. and heck, I think that everything is expensive nowadays. (well, except in Asian countries) I know that when I went to China/Taiwan this year, I was calculating all the prices being the little dork that I am.

I always get tricked by the absolute numbers, so I see something with a price tag of about 300 and I go, "FFFFFFFFFFFFfff SO EXPENSIVE." -_-" But relatively speaking, a lot of stuff is definitely cheaper in Asia.

Those "no sugar~!" drinks... -_-" Well, if you're diabetic, then they're definitely a god-send. Most of the sweet stuff in there are synthetic compounds that act as agonists at the sweetness receptors on your tongue, despite not being sugar. So... you eat random man-made chemicals, and when it comes into contact with your tongue, your brain's like, "Oh, sweet~!" It's usually not such a big deal if you don't consume litres and litres of the stuff, since these compounds are usually thousands of times sweeter than sugar, so you use tiny amounts to get the same sweetness.

...But then there's stuff like aspartame, which is actually a peptide... When you eat it, your tongue senses sweet, so your brain goes, "Yay sweet!" *addicted* But your body is like, "protein! The brain likes!" ...And then when you consume protein, your body thinks it might be sugar, and everything gets messed up. x_x

...Yeah, water is good.

From what I gather, sugar is bad, and not-sugar is also bad. :D My god, I have a maths teacher who drinks 3 bottles of 'diet' coke per day. He literally walks into our class with a bottle. And goes back to his office if he runs out. Addiction? -coughcough-

I've finished my secondary education and moved on to tertiary so I don't study those subjects anymore. Instead I'm focusing on business stuffs.
