its been bothering me for some time now ive seen choruses with just the picture and no background on it instead of the usual shape nameplates i see i wonder how you make those...

(and yea i posted this here cause its still video related right?)

Get rid of the original background of the image so that it has transparent background then save it as .PNG...? I usually do it with Photoshop.

I don't animate but that's how I do it. OAO

Azu is correct. Some images are easier to crop in photoshop than others~ Just save it in a format that allows transparency, like PNG or GIF.

A handy tool to use on photoshop is the lasso, or quick mask. Either or works.
