Q: Downloading good quality videos from nico and uploading good quality videos?

The process in which I rip a video from nico, convert, mix w/ my cover and upload it again barely gives a decent resulting video quality - so I was wondering how everyone else does it, and if there is a better way to do it so one can get resulting video quality in the end? Are there sites (where perhaps the creator of the song or movie has uploaded the mv) where we can download a good quality version of the uploaded Vocaloid mv? Or are there better methods in which I could follow? (I use WMM and it doesn't read .flv files so I have to convert it to .avi or something :E I think I should get a new video editor!)

This is how I do it.

First, download the video from Nico using Firefox plugin called DownloadHelper.

Then convert the video to AVI using Magic Video Converter using divx codec. (This one is least problematic to me)

Edit in desired video editing program. (I use the combination of Adobe Audition, Sony Vegas, and Virtualdub. The latter being the case that I want to just slap my vocal to a video using direct stream copy.)

Finally pre-encode to upload to Nico using ニコエンコ　(D/L)
Adjust the setting according to account I'm uploading to (premium account can render at higher quality according to the specification)
