AUDITION for a part in my next song

Hello everybody,

I reaaaaaally want to make the last song of my album and I have most of the 'theory' xD figured out.

The work title is 'Hold my hand until the end of the world... in thirty minutes'.

I will shorten it somehow, when it is done xD

So at the beginning of the song I want to insert a 'Newscast' about an all-out nuclear war.

The song and the news cast are in japanese. Plus I would prefere the newscast to be spoken by a girl, otherwise I would have done it myself :P

so here is the text (with romaji under each line):

悲報です。
hihou desu .
世界各国で核戦争がはじまりました。
sekaikakkokude kakusensouga hajimarimashita .
残念なことに2600もの核ミサイルがすでに発射してしまったようです。
zannenna kotoni nisenropphyaku mono kaku misairuga sudeni hasshashiteshimattayoudesu .
みんな,あなたに出会えて本当によかったと思っています。
minna , anatani deaete hontouni yokatta to omotte imasu .


Oh, and it is not song and really has to sound like you are the news lady reading the news. Though you can get a little emotional on the last part. a little ^-^

PS: Oh yeah the rough translation of the newscast:

It's bad news.
A worldwide all-out nuclear war has been initiated.
To our sorrow 2600 nuclear missiles have been launched.
everybody, It was a pleasure knowing you.

(I know that it's as dark as black coffee xD)

I want to try to sound like a news reporter orz..
But I dun know japanese xD and my voice probably dun fit.. BUT I feel like reading soo >3> I will BRB with the vocal sound xD;;

you want it to be more lively or slowly talked?

Hehe, I'll try and see if I can do this, but my Japanese isn't that good XDD

I recommend looking up clips on yt, like news reports from NHK and other Japan news programs to get a feel on how Japanese news readers sound like~~

I've also added spacing in the text to make it easier to read, because I know how daunting large chunks appear to be XD (the dashes have no special meaning, just to separate big chunks so they don't look as daunting as one whole word)

(Out of curiosity, but why does the news reader say the last sentence - "minna, anata ni deaete hontou ni yokatta to omotte imasu."? It doesn't seem like something one would say on a news report XD)

I *might* try to audition but I'm not good at putting on a serious news reporter-like voice and I won't sound authentically Japanese 8(

actually, seeing the fact that THIS news reporter is most probably about to die, I think it is forgiveable when she gets a bit emotional.

You are al great. I'm sure the song will be a hit. (5 failed attempts on the beginning sofar. But 'Atomic Winter - A hundret meters' took me about 7 trys xD And usually I do all my songs on first try and then pull through in one go.)

Nah, though If I get a good one, I'll take it. So it might be now or never muhaha! xD

Though Until the song is done I can easily replace any record I used before, so it will be still a while, ranging from maby 2 days to 3 weeks. *picks arbitrary numbers*

there is an IMPORTAND UPDATE!

I have finally (successfully!) started with the song, which means it will be done pretty soon (at least that is very likely), so I am setting a deadline.

Whatever I get until saturday (the 10th of April) I will take the best of.
So unless noone submits till then (which I deem very likely xD *sigh*), Your best shot is asap ^-^

Alright, I tried it! I tried to emulate the matter-of-factly style of reporting like they do in the news, but I'm sorry I don't sound very convincing nor news reporter like >w<

I took 4 takes... Wasn't too sure which to send so I put them in a zip file... They mostly sound... Similar enough lol.

Btw, I think the last sentence is suppose to be "minna , anatatachi ni deaete hontouni yokatta to omotte imasu", since you are not just talking to one person. Slap me if I'm wrong though.. I'm not pro at Japanese either...

^ Thinking about it now, I think you're right! (Unless the news reader is directing it to one particular person instead of the audience as a whole?)
