why audacity?!?!WHY!?!?

well i seem to have probably the worst computer ever.
every program seems to stop working after a while and audacity has now been added to that list.
i was organizing my big file and had moved the audacity project files and data's in to different folders.
so when i went to my bad apple file to fix the harmonies , the file wouldn't work.
so i rearranged them all again and it still didn't work.
so i then tried importing audio . it worked but every time i play the file it stops responding.
usually it only stops responding when i leave it up and record for a while.
but now its being retarded. though i should have seen this coming,i mean the auto-tune didn't work when i tried installing it 3 times and it didn't have a preference option on it.
does any body have any idea what i could do to fix it?
or find a better version?

It might just be the hardware itself. I highly recommend a better spec computer if possible, if your computer is as bad as you say.

If that's not an option, try defragmenting your drive. Defragmenting is the process of removing spaces in the computer's memory. Whenever you put a file in your computer, it takes up a space. When you delete it, it is removed, but the space is still left open. New files would then take that gap, and split the file into other gaps...

Windows has the defragmenter under Start > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter.
