All in the Name of Singing....?

Keep a bottle of water with you when singing. NEVER go without water or you're... Dead.

I used to be in choir, so I learned a few tricks, mostly breath support and things like that, I sometimes go crazy and sing as high pitched as I can but I shouldn't do that

also, some people would do this to relieve their throat after much singing: Grab a sore throat candy/mint candy or something like fisherman's friend, and then after it dissolved in your mouth, drink warm water immediately..loloollolss! its grooodd~! xD

I always keep a bottle of green tea with me when I record. I don't know why but it allows me to reach certain high notes... O_O

for me, before i do any recording i sing along to either the original or another cover version to warm up (i can't do vocal warmups...they make me laugh XD) that usually clears up my throat so i don't need as much water (sometimes i find water hurts my throat the more i drink)

me, i just sing along to a random song and then record it, but most of the time i just start recording.

I don't sing properly so what's the point in warm-ups? 8D

I drink warm (not hot) tea or room-temperature water before and during recording.
While warm drinks may make some peoples' mouths dry, cold liquids actually constrict your vocal chords.

Yes, citrus juices clear excess mucus and dairy products just make more. So I don't drink chocolate milk before recording anymore. :'D

I say stick with water, it's always the best.

Vocal exercises aren't necessary, but I do like doing them. The more I sing, the more confident I get, which is good. Sounding confident is always good. x)

And singing when sick is a no-no. I've tried it, and lost my voice. OTL

And never eat bread beforehand

Bread is like "OH GAWD IT'S STUCK IN MY THROAT GET IT OUUUUUT"

In Church I heard my brother ask my mom if I was tone-deaf. Confidence in singing = ruined

._. Damn, good thing he's at college.

Only other time I sing is when my parents are taking him back there, it's a two hour ride there and back.

My room is always either too hot or too cold, so my throat is either full of crap, or my allergies are bothering me because it's physically impossible to clean out my ancient fan that's white from the dust >_< (It was brown at first)

Me too, vocal warm-up makes me tired usually,,>.>

well..never do that~ that's why I always got those throat problems..even now..T.T I just ate an ice cream..even though I know that I catch a cold today..
then, I must delay my records today.. xD;;;

P.S. I also love spicy (chili x3) foods~ that would be the best reason for my voice destroyer xD

Mouthwash, Alchohol(My excuse to drink vodka :D)

Some Vocal Exercises are the lip roll, and tht thing sharpay does in high school musical (Watched it with my cousin :D) the mah mah mah thing :D
