Angel Beats

hmmm.... judging from how it ended, it seems like there wont b a season 2, and the ending wasnt as bad as i had thought and the staff of this anime did a terriffic job of creating this anime without a manga to work from, they did a great job and the anime was great. although as many of u have said above me this anime was sort of rushed in terms of content such as the fact that: we dont know everyones reasons for being in that place (what harsh lives they had), we dont know the reason why Kanade/Tenshi was there before otonashi (remember that they said at the end Kanade was the one who got otonashi's heart and live a little longer, which means Kanade should have got to that place after Otonashi but from the looks of it, and the situation it seems like Kanade was there ages before Otonashi got there), the reason why Kanade had the angel player, and i could say a few more but yeah i guess this is enough, since it is an anime that started without a manga =/ it will end with a few flaws.

Jun Maeda was only allowed 13 episodes

I really liked some episodes, and the others I really hated xD The last episode... errr... yeah... I kinda just stared at the screen for 25 minutes waiting to cry, but it never happened I had to force myself to finish it. Very disappointing considering how much I love Key's work :'(

well, flaws are expected to exist since they started off as an anime, if it was taken from a manga they would have been able to correct some of the flaws, but since they had to start from scratch, they either didnt have enough time or simply didnt notice =/

sorry, i take back all that i said, it seems like they are making a manga now, and according to my friend whos reading it and buying it as it comes out, it has explained why some of the ppl were there lik hinata (from a car crash...orz) so yeah, but i seriously dont know how they are going to explain why tenshi was there b4 otonashi...lol

past or something somehow and then disappearred?0: ahahh... Idk orz

i just noticed an even bigger mistake, (i think) how did Otonashi die? it seems like his heart was fine so what was the problem? i noticed that the area around his stomach looked dead, so... he was internally bleeding? then wouldnt he faint before he dies? and it cant b some sort of infection=it wasnt a flesh wound... any ideas? 0.0

It could have been dehydration, starvation, exhaustion, or he might have lost the will to keep on living... I doubt it was the latter though. Poor Otonashi...

I guess I'll make me conclusion review.
The ending disappointed me and now a lot of people who dropped the series knowing there weren't enough episodes are laughing, telling up this was supposed to be expected.

Honestly, you'll only like the ending if you really liked Otonashi and Tachibana. Every other character in the anime pretty much got screwed. So in the end, all the attention in this anime went to Otonashi (obvious), Kanade (obvious), Yurippe (It's about time), Yui (She had far too much attention), Naoi (His purpose in this anime was lost after the episode he starred it seeing how Kanade was more useful in the end), Hinata (barely), and.... that's it. >>;

Oh, and a blog seemed to be sure he died because of internal bleeding.

It's sad that they only got a 13-ep slot.
The ending itself wasn't great for me though. I guess I didn't like it that in the end Otonashi had to cry like that, lol. It's just that he's been the one doing all the "it's sad, but it's time to let go ;w;" stuff, so for him to not want to let go in the end was... Well, could also be because of the lack of dev't for Otonashi and Tachibana. 13 eps was really too short.
But I still like it because of the theme. ;w;
It's just too ;w;.

Despite the shortcomings due to being too short, the songs and music in general were really great, imo! Maeda Jun-san, GJ GJ! :D :D

Oh, on the Tenshi before Otonashi problem.. Well, there's the possibility that the time in that world is not really parallel to the living world. So it may not be necessary that who dies first in the real world gets there before than someone who dies later.

Ohh I enjoyed Angel Beats! very much *__* 13 episodes are just right, no need for more. Aaand I prefear the rock version of the op sung by LIsa ayup, and the animation is great let's not pretend too much from Key, they already made Clannad after story ;____; *loves sooooo much*

Wonder if they make an afterstory to tell us what happened to the other characters. The ending was really a disappointment for me, too, it was left way too open with only showing Otonashi and Kanade. Is there a fuller story (a game or a manga) somewhere?

There will be an OVA episode that will be released along with the Drama CD this December... from what I remember.
