Angel Beats

It's already Episode 5 of Angel Beats and I can't believe there isn't a single thread about it?! Hmm.... Angel Beats's synopsis (taken from Anime News Network.. Lazy to write XD):

In a world after death, angels fight for their fate and their
future. Yuri, the leader of the Shinda Sekai Sensen, rebels against the
god who destined her to have an unreasonable life. On the otherhand,
Tenshi, the chairperson of the student council for the world after
death, battles against the SSS members. SSS members utilize armed
weaponry to battle it out against the angels harnessing supernatural
powers.

Yep... That's just a general summary of all and there's a twist in the story for the next episode since they know Tenshi is actually human. This anime is really funny...!! Especially Episode 4 (Hinata and Yui's funny-fight scene) and 5 (Hinata's flying-rocket scene in class. Well, that's what I call the scene)....XD Not only that. They've got a band called GirlDeMo (Girls Dead Monster) The vocalist was Iwasawa sung Crow Song, My Song and Alchemy ( Alchemy and My Song). Since the vocalist disappear, Yui replace her and suprisingly, her first performance in Episode 5 is superb...! With her Thousand Enemies song. Not to forget that she also sings the opening (My soul, Your Beats!) in Episode 4 as LiSa...

So... I wonder if anyone here in YTChorus know or watch Angel Beats?? I really like this anime. My 2nd like after K-ON!! Very saddening to think that I can't watch it anymore after 10 May... A clip of My Song by Iwasawa (her last song before she disappeared)

#Takumi: Cool... Well, yea. Episode 1 wasn't interesting enough but as it continues, the story grew. Well, don't have to worry about the character name XP I only remember Hinata, Otonashi, Iwasawa, Yui and Yurippe... Others are history.. Hahahaha

Yeah one and six weren't great.. But I remember reading something somewhere that the staff did admit that 13 eps was kind of short for the story... Anyway, I hope seven goes well. :3
Also, only recently did I find out that this one guy named Maeda Jun did most of the stuff for the a number big VN/games by Key so far..
He did the general storywork/series composition and the music for Angel Beats!!

I like this anime very much! I usually don't watch anime anymore but I'm always excited to watch this. It's not as sad as other Key animes but I think it's just as good. All the characters are pretty interesting! (except for maybe the ones that barely appear) It's funny and dramatic like the other Key animes, which I really like. <3

I really wish there was more then 13 episodes. ):

Naomi is funny! Everyone is!
Seven was nice ;_;
I really liked Otonashi's background story... ;_;
Plus his voice is H&C's Takemoto's voice..!
And H&C will always always be special to me.. ;_;

I really have a thing for anime which mix hilarious and drama like they didn't have any boundaries, lol.

Owh lol... I haven't yet watch ep 7.. I'm gonna watch soon but not sure yet, matrix's homeworks were really off limit. The lecturing session was really fast. In a week already ends 2 months' topic... @.@

Anyway, I think the series should have longer because it seems like the ending is going to be rushed. There are far too many characters for them to go through in the next couple episodes and still keep a wonderful ending.

Many characters didn't get much (if at all) spotlight.
The series was just too short and with the way the series is going, it's highly unlikely we'll get a second season.

I heard many things were rushed or cut.
Naoi's story was summarized in one episode.
Anyway, this is my opinion of how the series is going.

The lastest episode just made me tear up. Everything seems too cruel for each of the characters to go through.

I do also agree that the anime should be longer than 12 episodes so it could cover up better and the ending isn't going to be rushed. For some reason, I already a bad feeling it either a built-up to a season 2 or it'll be a rushed ending.

I could say I don't mind a second season as long as the last episode is good.

No way~~ The story is going to end. You all telling things that I don't understand but sounds exciting... Ugh!! I can't wait for the mid semester holiday!!!!!!!!

Hinata said to her "LETS GET MARRIED"!!! That probably ticked of SO MANY HinataxOtonashi fans...I'm not a HxO fan...but what Hinata said surprised me!!

Though I do agree with Takumi in the sense that it felt extremely rushed. Unfortunately the anime is only gonna span 13 epsiodes, I didn't know that at first but once I found out I realized that the director bit off a little more than he/she could chew with this whole "make everyone find their inner peace" story.
I mean the concept itself is actually quite nice and somewhat symbolic, but I have a feeling that season 1 is just gonna end badly or on a fail cliffhanger because they wont have time to show how everyone finds their inner peace and moreover what's going to happen to Angel and Ootonashi.
I'll remind you all we still don't know who god is, he explanation behind the world they are in and exactly who the characters are in terms of background and personality. (except for Naoi, Yurippe , Ootonashi and kinda Hinata)
To resolve that in two episodes, seems highly unlikely. However, it's very popular so a season 3 is to be expected.


On a final troll: The Hinata x Yui tag on pixiv is more popular (and populated) than the Hinata x Otonashi tag
