Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Sat Apr 24, 2010 6:22 pm

So, since I kind of...really have nothing better to do in my free time than stalk new stuff - and my twitter friends make sure I don't miss anything EVER, I've been listening to a lot of amazing songs that really should get more attention.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Links are all on Nico Nico Douga. Some of the stuff I link are going to be fairly underrated, and as such I'd prefer the hits to be directed straight back to them! If you don't have an account, what kind of Vocaloid fan are you anyway? D8! (Though really - if you google, there are tutorials as to how to register and work Nico! If you really don't know, there's always Nicosound where you can stream off!)

2. I am GUMI and Rin biased. Though I still think a lot of songs will be Miku, just because most composers use her. But just a fair warning just in case you go "wtf why does she think every GUMI/Rin song in the world is amazing!"

3. I tend to prefer rock music, but I'll try my best to recommend as many different genres as I can!

Anyway, since I'm just starting off the post, I'll be posting 5, but in the future I'll most likely only be posting 2 songs every day (yes, I WILL try my best to update every day). On uneventful days I'll post old songs I've wanted people to notice so yeah XD!

Hatsune Miku - Usotsuki Zouka (Artificial Flower)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10442542
Composition&Lyrics: kous (mylist)
Genre: Rock
Comments: I absolutely love kous and his crazy music that makes no sense. And this song is no exception. There's something so emotional about the whole song, and the tuning is amazing! I believe he used Append Miku, but I can't be sure. kikoenai, kikoenai, kikoenai...

Hatsune Miku - Gaichuu (Toxic/Poisonous Insect)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10481957
Composition&Lyrics: UtsuP (mylist)
Genre: Metal...!? I have no idea, I'm bad at classifications orz.
Comments: I LOVE UTSUPI. SERIOUSLY. Everytime I listen to his stuff I feel like raging war on mankind! It's so ANGRY! And amazing! His new song is no exception ffff. HOW DO PEOPLE GET VOCALOIDS TO DO HARDCORE SCREAMO? I DON'T UNDERSTAND. But anyway, yes. 60% of this song is screamo, just to warn you. Miku screamo 8D. Though once the chorus comes in, it's like oiahsdlgkhasodgi *___*.

GUMI - Mirai Kigen Reki Gannen (I'm actually not sure, but the karaoke says "Limited World" 8D;; )
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10462222
Composition: millstones (mylist)
Lyrics: Aki
Genre: Techno
Comments: I mylisted just from the intro, without even hearing GUMI, as biased as I am. That is how amazing this song is. I'm not even the world's biggest techno/electronica fan, and this song absolutely captivated me. The intro sounds like Drum&Bass, the melody goes into techno-pop, then the instru break goes back into D&B...!? LOL IDK. The melody is so relaxing, which contrasts the very heavy instrumental, but nontheless makes this amazing to listen to if you like this sort of music!

Kagamine Rin - Mairisu Damee! (No Mylist-ing!)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10443906
Composition&Lyrics: LiveP (mylist)
Genre: Rock
Comments: This song is legendary. It's the last song I just covered (halfassedly to kill time) as well! Anyway. Let's just say. tsundere!Rin + rolling R's + rock that sounds like indian music = the most amazing thing ever. So amazing that as of now, there's just over 9500 traitors who mylisted the video 8D.

Hatsune Miku - Kami no Namae ni Ochiru Mono (...I don't know how to translate. The person who has received God's name!? That's not right.)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm10476697
Composition&Lyrics: kaoling (mylist)
Genre: Er...I have no idea. Falls under the same crazy category as Pane Dhiria and Jutenijia!
Comments: I've never heard of kaoling until yesterday, and I am so upset I haven't. Her music is all amaaaazing, and all has this same sort of...surreal, fantasy-esque style to them, and her crazy made up languages and stuff. This is just absolutely entrancing - once you start listening you can't stop until the end! It's so well made ><! Oh and yeah, she's a female producer!

Hope everyone enjoys this!

Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Re: Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Sun Apr 25, 2010 3:16 pm

Here's today's stuff! One of it is literally fresh out of the vocaloid producing oven! Just released about an hour ago XD!

Hatsune Miku - lemon.
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10443413
Composition&Lyrics: SWANTONE (Kusemono)
Genre: Pop
Comments: The lyrics of this song are so bittersweet ;A;. That aside, it sounds like a cheap '90s pop song. WHICH IS GREAT. Because who doesn't love cheap '90s pop? That's actually the shining point of this song - it's a style you never hear anymore, and it reminds you how good cheesy sounding synthesised pop music is 8D. Let's face it - Rick Astley was a legend Cool. But that aside, Miku is tuned amazingly in this *_*

Kagamine Rin - Lollipop Homeroom
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10510552
Composition: Ecomaru
Lyrics: Hainokoton
Genre: Rock
Comments: Andddd this is the one that's just released. I stand by my opinion that Rin sounds best singing rock because of the strength in her tone - this song doesn't disprove that at all. The guitars are absolutely amazing to listen to - it's like auditory raep, in a good way 8D. Rin is tuned really well in this too and doesn't sound annoying like she tends to sometimes, and it doesn't spam high notes like a lot of Rin song do either - it's in a very natural range, actually! The PV is amazing as well XDDD. SO GOOD *__*!!

Post by Ciel Mon Apr 26, 2010 6:28 pm

Aaaan my picks for today!

Hatsune Miku - ERiKA
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10522023
Composition&Lyrics: MiyumP
Genre: Rock Ballad
Comments: MiyumP is SO underrated. Anyway. ERiKA's a bit strange, I think? The intro's amazing, and the ending's beautiful, but it gets really loud and noisy about halfway through, and some might not like that, whereas some might. This is a part of one of the compilation albums being sold at Vocaloid Master 12 (WHICH I WANT. BECAUSE I WANT THIS. AND BUZZG'S NEW SONG. AND A MILLION OTHERS. BUT MOSTLY BUZZG'S NEW SONG). ER anyway back to the song - LOW MIKU. That goes really high near the end. But is mostly loud. And tuned really nicely =D!

DualSoul -ME-
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10481713
Composition&Lyrics: ShinP
Genre: Pop
Comments: Why the hell is this not getting more views/mylists? MEIKO is tuned absolutely amazing - like, as realistic as MEIKO can get really (ShinP's known for being really good at tuning her), and her voice and GUMI's really complement each other. Which surprised me, since GUMI IMO is the most realistic sounding Vocaloid, and MEIKO the...least XD;;. It's a very anime-ish sounding song XD. GAH. Needs. More. Love.

Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Re: Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Wed Apr 28, 2010 6:10 am

@Luna: YAY. YAY ANOTHER UTSUPI FAN!!!!! The funniest part is his personality's really cute, haha! It doesn't match up to his music at all! Albumm...the V.L.P (VOCALOUD Project) one? Heck yes. I want it so badlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Err anyway because I was busy crying yesterday, before I went to bed I thought of doing my picks, but decided I wasn't in the mood at all ahaha. So have um, 3 picks now just to make up for it!

Hatsune Miku - Yubikiri (Pinky Promise)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10533832
Composition&Lyrics: scop
Genre: Jazz/Pop
Comments: scop is one of my favourite Vocaloid P's, mostly because his style is so uniquely him, I find! No matter if he's doing techno-pop, or a jazzy song like this, or a poppy rock song, he's got this...scop style! Anyway, his new song is absolutely amazing, and reminds me a lot of his other big hit, Marionette Syndrome. Anyway, the pianooooooo *__* (which is probably mousework, but it sounds amazing). But. Yes. *_______*

GUMI - Kokoro Ha ~Koko no Ha~ (The heart's leaf)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8326391
Composition: 蜻蛉 (IDK what the right way to read this is 8D.)
Composition: f
Genre: Techno-pop
Comments: New P is new, first work released in March O:! Anyway, it's a super cute techno-pop song, with really cute lyrics, and a really nice beat to it, and I feel happy just listening to it XD! Definitely deserves more attention! GUMI's tuning isn't amazing, but the P is new, he has time to practice I think, and definitely shows a lot of promise (went back and listened to his older stuff too, all are good!).

GUMI - Tsuki no Rashinban (The Moon's Compass)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8326391
Composition&Lyrics: buzzG
Genre: Rock
Comments: One of buzzG's older works which didn't get very much attention. This is the GUMI version of the song, which I personally prefer (The original was by Miku, which you can listen to over here if you'd like to!). Anyway, the lyrics are so oiahsdlgkahsg emo XDDD. I absolutely loveeee the guitar in this, and GUMI's tuning is amazing, and just fffff. It's definitely my favourite buzzG song if I think about it XD. GUMI's softness somehow really complements the song and works really well with the melody in my opinion!

GUMI SPAM /o/

@izaya
I seriously want that cd so badly. Seriously.
Oh, and if you like hard-rock Vocaloid (like me lol) I seriously recomend you hazy;Yoshihi and LIQ.
They are really good.

Also, Gumi's ~Koko no Ha~; I think it's from BuzzG (or at least, that's what my mp3 says.)
Because I love that song 8D

@Luna: Ah, I've seen them retweeted on twitter before XD! I think for me, I like a mix between hard rock and nice melodies, so just straight out screaming never cuts it for me, which is why I love UtsuP and Yuyoyuppe =D. And it's not from buzzG XD;;. buzzG is a rock composer!! It's by 蜻蛉! But I'm not sure of the right way to read it. You might be thinking of a different song maybe...?

S@#! man, I haven't updated this in a while @_@. Life got in the way (exams, being sick etc.) so I haven't had the energy/mood to check out new songs too much ><.

Anyway, there's been an influx of Append songs due to it being released on the 30th, so ahaha 8D. I'm not too hot on most of them, so don't worry about Append spam from me XD. I'll do 4 today and 4 tomorrow to catch up, anddd throwing in some slightly older songs that I think deserve more love!

Hatsune Miku - E? Aa, sou.
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10122021
Composition&Lyrics: papiyon (ChouchoP)
Genre: Pop
Comments: The lyrics in this are so provocative (as is the artwork) 8D. That said, it's an absolutely amazing song with an amazing melody and tempo, and it's so...toxic! Like, I was listening to it on repeat for ages when my friend covered it. Speaking of covers, all the manly covers will surely make you melt Cool. nomnomnom.

Hatsune Miku (Append) - CLOUDY
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10546478
Composition&Lyrics: en (SWANTONE)
Genre: Techno-pop
Comments: From the other half of the SWANTONE unit (I pimped Kusemono-san a while back!). Anyway, an extremely relaxing techno tune, and Append-soft makes this sound a lot like those club beats you get where the singer's barely singing and just whispering! The melody's really lovely as well~! Append-soft is definitely my favourite Append voice, haha!

Megurine Luka - reach for...
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10535962
Composition&Lyrics: MonologueP
Genre: Samba/Pop...!? I'm so bad at genres XD
Comments: Man, this is one of those kinds of songs you NEVER hear in Vocaloid, but when you do, it's like FFFFFFFF *___*! Luka's tuning is a bit lacking, IMO, but I love the half-English-half-Japanese lyrics, and for once, the English lyrics don't make you giggle from them being awful (they're a bit questionable at some places, but not like, full out wrong...other than spelling mistakes 8D;Wink. Anyway, I absolutely LOVE the instrumental, and Luka's voice is really soft and soothing and really works with this song~

GUMI - Kakure Otaku de Gomennasai (I'm sorry that I'm secretly an otaku)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10471387
Composition&Lyrics: KatahotoriP
Genre: Pop
Comments: ....This song. Is. Just. From the title, I had to click 8D. It's so cuteeeeeeeee ROFL. I have no words, really, other than LOLOLOLLYRICS, and OAIHSGLKHA SO CUTE, and AOISHGLKASHG NEKOMAIDGUMI LOLLOLOLOLOL okay I'm done.

Post by Kumbancha Mon May 03, 2010 9:43 am

OMG, Izaya, (it sounds weird calling you that, I was so used to calling you Ciel XD) Anyway, This thread is awesome! and it's so helpful! I really liked the songs you're recommending and are helping my Vocaloid repertoire to grow even larger than it already is! Lol, those are very nice songs, My favorite ones are Mirai Kigen Reki Gannen, (Millstones is <3, There's this Miku song of him I really like but don't know the name of) Mairisu Damee! (I had heard that one before cuz of the Vocaloid rankings) Lemon (i Love that kind of music! I liked it so much that I might cover it! that's if we ever get Romaji lyrics) DualSoul (I'm Meiko biased, especially when she's tuned well, AND THIS IS THE CASE, she blends so well with Gumi, Meiko needs an update!)

and a few others

Thanks so much for this thread

<3

and keep recommending lol

Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Re: Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Mon May 03, 2010 5:17 pm

@Kumba: HAHAHA sorry XD;;. You can call me Ciel on skype! But we never talk there anymore >:!
I love listening to new songs, and I figured it's worth sharing since most of the YTC crown only know the "crowd favourites", and don't really delve into the lesser known songs or genres! It's the reason I disliked Vocaloid for a long time - I just assumed all the songs sounded the same, when in actually that's not the case!

Anyway. Vocaloid P's had a fieldtrip today, and it was seriously beginning-of-week-new-song-matsuri oh god.

Hatsune Miku (Append) - Guriguri Megane to Gekkouchuu (The girl with astigmatism and the moonbug........!? *random guess based on the english I can somewhat make out in the video*)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10580774
Composition&Lyrics: FullkawaP
Genre: Acoustic
Comments: Assured Fullkawa quality, damn straight. I don't like this AS much as his last song (mugs, which I'll probably pimp eventually), but it's still amazing. Absolutely in love with the acoustic guitar, and Append-dark sounds really good on this song, though I can't wait for covers since IMO this is the type of song that needs a human element to it, haha. Anyway, it's a very depressing sounding song, with a gentle melody and just rests very easily on your ears~

Yuki vs. G - Showasen★Girl (Kaai Yuki ft. Gakupo - Showa-exclusive★Girl)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10589810
Composition&Lyrics: KagomeP
Genre: DISCO, OH YEAH.
Comments: This song was uh, apparently, made in tribute to those who were "Showa kids", or basically, teens around 1985~1989, and the line that keeps coming up - "cho, beri ba!" (or, cho, very bad!), is a slang from that period of time XD. THIS SONG IS HILARIOUS LMAO. Half of it is like, talk/rap XDDD. And makes you want to jump around shouting "cho, beri ba! ba! ba! come on!" like a moron 8D. Yuki's tuned amazingly as always (KagomeP doesn't get the "legendary Yuki master" tag for no reason!), and sounds really...not like a primary kid in this XD.

Hatsune Miku - Zinnia to Meme (meme as in, like, internet memes. idk what the title means tbh)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm10596396
Composition&Lyrics: PowapowaP
Genre: Post-rock
Comments: PowapowaP is one of my favourite P's, just because he composes stuff that's so easy on the ears but at the same time not BORING. Just listening to his instrumentals are amazing enough tbh. Anyway, this is his second Luka song, and the tuning is really lovely~! Luka sounds really soothing, singing the lilting melodies of this song, and the whole song is just...so...PRETTY. *ran out of words, is biased*. This was definitely my favourite of the "let's release soft pretty songs matsuri", definitely, sorry FullkawaP Q_Q.

Aaaand I lied, my internet's being lame so only 3 songs today since I need to relisten to some songs to see how i feel about them lmao. Oh well!

Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Re: Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Mon May 31, 2010 4:06 am

Because I don't care enough about most guy Vocaloids, too bad 8D! That, and most producers only use the girls anyway. There was a bit of Gakupo in Showasen!

ANYWAY. I've procrastinated updating this long enough. Have a massive list of songs since the last time I updated I think people should listen to! OH YEAH.

Hatsune Miku - Echo
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10613090
Composition&Lyrics: Eshi janai KEI
Genre: Pop/Rock
Comments: I absolutely LOVE KEI, and IMO he's just so underrateddd aoisdhlgkahoihasgaod! Most people MIGHT know him from Tower by Luka! Anyway, Echo is just, I don't know, the heavy guitars somehow work really well with the simplistic, flowing melody that builds up from a fairly low verse to a high chorus, and it's just so pretty to listen to! The lyrics are absolutely beautiful as well.

GUMI - Broken Arms
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10631963
Composition: Myriad
Lyrics: Eshi janai KEI
Genre: Rock
Comments: Myriad has...only two songs, in the almost-a-year since he's been a vocaloid P, but he's also the one which everyone has a lot of high expectations of because his debut piece was absolutely flawless. Broken Arms is his first GUMI song (...his first song since 2009 as well, rofl), and THE TUNING IS SO RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING OMG WHAT IS THAT SCREAM/YELP THING AT THE BEGINNING. Uh that aside, definitely, definitely a good VOCAROCK/VOCALOUD track, and yeah! Lyrics are amazing *points to the first song being pimped* 8D.

Kagamine Rin - S・K・Y
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10684009
Composition&Lyrics: LiveP
Genre: R&B
Comments: I've pimped out LiveP before, and he is still one of my favourite Rin composers ever. I love that he uses Act 1, giving her a really different tone to everyone else! Anyway, S・K・Y has a mostly low melody, that builds up to the chorus, and then the final sort of..."shout" of "S・K・Y"...and aoishdglka the buildup throughout the song is amazing - I found myself in tears by the time it was the last chorus! Definitely worth listening to if you think that all Rin songs have to be high-tone and really screechy! Low Rin is sexy.

Megurine Luka - Flightless Bird
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10700738
Composition&Lyrics: MuryokuP
Genre: Crazyshit. Honestly I don't know. Jazz/Pop!?
Comments: The song that skyrocketed MuryokuP as a name to remember! Definitely glad that more people know him now and appreciate what an amazing composer he is! Flightless Bird is actually VERY different from most of his compositions apart from the one thing - the piano. He's been well known for amazing piano, even in his VOCAROCK stuff, but yeah. Anyway, the tuning is beautiful - Luka sounds so human. And the instrumental just...takes you in! You can't not be totally immersed in this song, really! It's so...EPIC.

Hatsune Miku - Ikutsumono Yoru wo Koete
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10748248
Composition&Lyrics: Rerulili, Maru
Genre: Pop/Ballad
Comments: Very pretty ballad from Rerulili, and finally some recognition he deserves, considering after his debut piece, he hasn't done as well, I think purely because they're compositions catered to the minority. Anyway, he's back with another ballad, and Miku is tuned very elegantly in this, with beautiful low notes and graceful high ones! I love the chorus~

Hatsune Miku - Lobelia
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10748238
Composition: sequel (Kichiku-shota-P...LOL)
Lyrics: Yumisora
Genre: Rock
Comments: Absolutely love the refreshingness of this song! Miku is tuned really really well in this - evident in most of the comments in the video. The lyrics are really cute as well! And just...I don't really know what else to say! It's just such a cute song, that you sort of bop along to whenever you hear it! That kind of song XD!

Hatsune Miku - Harinezumi no Koi (Hedgehog's love)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10763771
Composition&Lyrics: Nutts
Genre: Ballad
Comments: Seriously, one of the most moving piano ballads I've heard in a while. The tuning isn't the most amazing ever, but the piano and melody are just so...cutee and touching and aosihdglkahsg. It's such a simple song that starts just purely with Miku and the piano and builds up after the first chorus. I've really liked Nutts' stuff so far, and I think he's really promising as a composer <3.

GUMI - Marygold
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10772695
Composition&Lyrics: buzzG
Genre: Rock
Comments: I LOVE BUZZG LYRICS. AND BUZZG. BUZZGGGGGGGGGGGGG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA okay. Any excuse to pimp him again is a valid excuse. Anyway, prs to be ignoring how Marygold is...spelt as Marygold. I'm going with the theory that because the lyrics seem to start with "mary," that it's an intentional pun! Anyway, absolutely amazing tuning as usual, and the melody is just...and the piano...and the guitars...and most of all, OMG THE BASS IS THE SEXIEST THING EVER *____*. Okay I'm done fangirling. IMO, buzzG + GUMI = can do no wrong, so you really should listen to this. OKAY? Okay.

Megurine Luka - Melodramatic
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10773189
Composition&Lyrics: fatmanP
Genre: Pop
Comments: A very fatmanP song, haha. Think Discommunication, if you've heard that! The song is mostly propelled by the piano, and the strong beat, and the very pleasant melody. fatmanP has a kind of, very "mainstream" type style, which is actually nice to hear on Vocaloid IMO, since most Vocaloid composers stray away from mainstream music. This also means AMAZING covers usually 8D. IMO I preferred Discommunication, but this is really pretty anyway. The chorus is very very nice to listen to, and I do love the piano phrase during the instru breaks <3

Hatsune Miku & Kasane Teto - Hiyoko Metal (Chick Metal)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10793968
Composition&Lyrics: Simesaba Twisters
Genre: Rock (Metal)
Comments: HIYOKOOOOOOO! Er. Anyway. Simesaba is known for composing out of this world crazyshit. And this is one of it. I don't know whether to be horrified or amazed by this, honestly. It's cute and scary all at the same time. Either way, it's worth a listen 8D;;. Though don't click if you don't like heavy rock. Do click if you like chicks though! Er, the chicken kind, not the females XD.

Megurine Luka - Nijiro Afternoon (Rainbow Afternoon)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm10806767
Composition&Lyrics: BETTI (EasyPop)
Genre: Pop
Comments: La~la~lalala~! I love EasyPop's stuff! It's always so DTM-ish, but really catchy and just, yeah! This song is no exception - the melody is simple but catchy, and the beats in the background are just so happy and cheerful and yeaaaah! It's just a cute song <3! I absolutely love the change in keys throughout the song - it's really refreshing and different! But yeah - what's there not to love about a cute pop song with a nice melody ;D?

GUMI - Lift Off!
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10820620
Composition&Lyrics: Faye
Genre: Pop
Comments: SO. CUTE. And happy! And just! Positive! Not enough positive songs in this world! And GUMI is adorable - Faye IMO, is absolutely amazing at tuning GUMI! GUMIGUMI! :D! I love this song so much I have nothing to say. LOL.

Hatsune Miku - Kutabare PTA (F@#$ you PTA)
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10851396
Composition&Lyrics: NashimotoP
Genre: Rock
Comments: I'm sure I have no need to pimp this song out but I'm doing it anyway, just because most people will probably have heard cover versions anyway. I mean, there is really nothing better than to hear Miku start the song with "fuck you~*". Anyway this is just...a song about...telling the PTA (parents teachers association, if you don't know) to eff off 8D. SO ANGRY. ANGRY MIKU FTW.

@Luna: About Myriad...he's just...very...slow. But worth the wait, definitely. His next song isn't vocarock though...! It's absolutely beautiful from the demo I've heard so far though *_*. And I love Simesaba! Yaaaay! For his album version of Kamisamablahblah (aka Shine On), he actually borrowed my cover for the adlibs for it *proud to have maybe done something right*. And yeah, Lift Off!'s PV is by mie no hito! I'm not a huge fan of his style because it makes me dizzy though orz. BTW! You might really like the rest of MuryokuP's stuff since most of it is VOCAROCK! I recommend "a balance" and "Jihad" 8D.

@kiki: miku pulls it off with such style 8D

Great to hear that~ Myriad songs are awesome <3
Whoa~ They borrowed your cover?! That's just awesome Ciel =D
Hm...I like Mieno Hito's pv's if they aren't too uh...if they aren't way too loaded with images and effects.
And...yeah, I listened Jihad once! I loved it! Thank you very much~

Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day Empty Re: Ciel's Vocaloid Pick of the Day

Post by Ciel Tue Jun 01, 2010 3:47 pm

Gonna try to keep this updated! Anyway a LOT of good songs today to start the month off! So it was hard for me to pick favourites - if nothing good comes up within the next few days I'll definitely come back to what was out today!

Hatsune Miku - Akari to Kagi
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10923334
Composition&Lyrics: yukkedoluce (Kurokami-StrongP)
Genre: Rock
Comments: From the composer of "Kimi ga Suki", which some might know as the song that Asamaru sang recently, is a song with a totally different feel. This time, yukke brings an emo rock song, and Miku is tuned in a way which seriously makes her sound like she's crying/screaming, and it's so beautiful and emotional, and I actually cried without knowing the lyrics the first time...then I cried more when I when to figure out the lyrics Q_Q. I've literally been looping this non-stop.

Hatsune Miku - Adayume
Link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10919875
Composition&Lyrics: ←P (YajirushiP)
Genre: Rock
Comments: A very very very very very typical Yappi song, with the tinkling/soft buildup to a rocky chorus with strong guitar riffs, and massive rock instrumental breaks, with high high notes that somehow don't wreck ears. If I can say, this is like a cross between Uchuu Radio and falldown? Hanatan fans might know this as a song which was included on her MISERICORDIA album. Anyway, absolutely beautiful, and just. I LOVE YAPPI. Meisa's adorable illustrations don't quite work with some of the video, but hie's video definitely tried to make it reflect the strength of the song! Ultimate collaboration, seriously.
