Some help on my drawing please<3

First of all, this is a serious picture, I'm entering a local contest with it and it's really improtant to me.
So I wanna make this look as perfect as it can be.

Here's the rough sketch:

It's kind of very messy

I'm having some trouble with mecha, that big thing in the back.

It looks a bit wierd and unfinished(well, it IS unfinished but...).
I'd like to hear some of your opinion/suggestions on the mecha, please<3

I-I can't really help much for the mecha because I can't tell much from the sketch but I can give you some coloring tips, baby-wifey. *//3//*

When I color metal/mecha, it's easier to do it all on the same layer. Use the a base color, and paint over it with no lines. Oh-- and emphasize the shine & tint for metal. After coloring-- you can use a metal texture. * 3 *


and here's a little tip for the platform-- it might just because you were doing a quick sketch-- but the perspective of the pattern is a bit off. * O * here's a a tip~

I can't really help with mecha because I wouldn't be able to draw mecha to save my life.. but GOOD LUCK ON THE CONTEST!!! I HOPE YOU WIN!! It's already looking amazing!

About mechas.....I never drew any. But, as for drawing anything complicate, I suggest you to go look for models~ It's easier to draw, and it makes everything look a lot more complex than it is actually!
Add little things, details, etc. Anything that looks mechanical-like!

I think you already know that, but to draw the big parts, use simple shapes/forms (cubes, circles, etc.) for easier perspective. Using sharpened, thin shapes to contrast with the big cubic parts makes it look more complex 8D

just umm draw lots of cirlces and wires & squares xD


believe it or not its not that hard if you think abotu it xD
like seriously! go observe the insides of cars or stuff like that
even a mechanic pen would work xD;;;
