I need advice about selling fanart

Soon (9-11 april) I might sell stuff at swedens biggest convention. I'm unsure whatever to go for it or not.

Anyways I need some advice, I plan to sell mousepads and mabye buttons (I mean those stuff you can attach to your bag or clothes, not normal buttons, not sure if I used the right word) and take requests of stuff to draw... Is there anything else I chould do?

Also, fanarts tend to sell the best, so any ideas of what I can draw?
I was thinking to try to draw some Wind Waker stuff (because me and my friend is crazy about the style) also Higurashi or/and Umineko fanart... I've noticed that Kuroshitsuji is a popular mercherdince, but not sure if it look good in my style...lol Also I like drawing stuff that's not TOO popular, but still have a huge fanbase

I don't hate Naruto, I think it's a good manga, I'm just tired of it because Sweden has to many Narutards. And it would look wierd in my style so no.

well i think noone would recognize it XD but all in all it's not legal..

It is legal to sell fanarts at conventions, they set up a whole section for people who are selling their fanarts

hmm in germany it isn't legal so sell fanarts. OWNARTS of course. but no fanarts. cuz the characters are designed by another artist.

For example: CLAMP even doesn't LIKE(!!!!) fanarts. they deleted a fan page, cuz they used their characters aso.

It doesn't matter where you sell it-- if the characters are copyrighted, then it's illegal. They just don't crack down on the law. You don't have to worry about being 'caught' by the law. (I've done artist alley before. ^^ All my friends say it's nothing to worry about either.)



KHR sells well-- though it's HUGELY popular. I don't know if you'll draw something as popular as KHR.

I think DRRRRRR! will sell well this year too. But it's too early to tell.
