What is Ceilidh Chorus?

Ceilidh Chorus is a chorus group centered around the idea of just having fun while producing quality content. We will be a group who focus on chorus covers of Japanese and English music. Sometimes we may use English adaptation lyrics, other times we may not.

This is a venture I've had in mind for quite a while now. A few years ago, I did give it a shot but unfortunately it didn't get very far due to many people joining then just never doing what they had to. It quickly died. For those reasons, I will be looking for people dedicated to getting songs done and having fun while doing it.

What am I looking for?

- Singers. Male or female.

- Mixers. Mostly people to master vocals.

- Animators.

What we will be doing?

- Idol

- Anime

- Game

- Pop

- Rock

- You name it, we'll probably try it.

Why YTChorus Forums?

I was a member here a few years ago but had to leave due to personal reasons, alot of being due to certain members here. However, I didn't find it very fair that my experience meant I couldn't work with other new singers and staff should a project interest them. After taking some time away, I'd love to get to know some new people and hopefully get some new talent out there with help of the chorus family.

How do I take part?

Singers

- Submit to me three covers you have done. You should have at least one in English and one in Japanese.

- These should be as much unedited as possible. I don't want swirly effects that make your voice inaudible.

- Send me the following information:

Mixers

- Submit three covers you have mixed. You should have at least one as a chorus or group cover with 5+ people.

- I don't mind effects and such but vocalists must be audible.

Animators

- Submit to me at least two videos of which you have animated. I'm not expecting huge effects and fireworks but it must be impressive.

Genre Preferences: I mostly sing idol/anime music, but I enjoy listening to pretty much all genres and would be willing to try them. I don't think I could actually pull of screamo or things like that tho.

1. Are you just managing the group, or are you participating as well? just curiosity
2. I don't believe it's specified how recent samples have to be? Obviously more recent is better, but any specifics?
3. Is there a set amount of people you are looking for?
4. Is there a minimum length for those auditions? the standard at least 1:30 / the first chorus ?

Idk what happened last, but I'm glad you got over it and decided to come back and rejoin us here at the forums

Genre Preferences: I actually listen to pretty much all genres, and I really enjoy to sing (or try to sing) all kinds of musics. If it counts like a genre preference, I really love sad songs and creepy/dark songs.

Are you still recruiting for this, actually? The original post is from January, so it's a little bit old.

If you are, is there a deadline for when auditions have to be in? Or a set number of singers that you're willing to accept? How big are you looking for the chorus to be? What about the number of males/females you're looking for?
