Re: Chorus Video Making FaQ
I shall be the first to ask the great Kenta questions about the purpose of life.
1) If your opinion, would it be better to edit pictures, with an image editing program, before you start animating or mask them while animating when using Sony Vegas Pro?
2) With Adobe After Effects, how do you manipulate the camera, so that 2D objects give that 3D feel?

1) Edit Your pictures. IT saves time and makes it reusable. Masking takes up too much of your RAM and it will add extra time to your rendering.
2) Oh you may have to refer to video copilot's video on that. Check link in the FaQ above.

It's a layer blending option. Set the Text's Layer Blending Option to Difference.

Re: Chorus Video Making FaQ
Thank you for that awesome guide oh mighty Kenta! I shall bookmark it and re-read it for future purposes :D
Can I ask you a question?
In your personal opinion, is it better to animate everything in one composition or in several compositions (for After Effects)? If so, why?
Thank you once again for your awesome guide!

Re: Chorus Video Making FaQ
Thank you Kenta for this wonderful guide! It was so amazingly helpful and wonderful ;;u;;
If you don't mind, can I ask you a question? If you mind, I'm asking it anyways :'D
This is probably really stupid, but how do people divide the screen up evenly in sony vegas pro? I mean... in chorus animation, when say 5 people are singing at once, sometimes 5 little rectangles will come onto the screen, in a horizontal row or something, and the space between them will be perfectly even! How do people do that? (does this make sense even, what I'm saying?)
Thank you in advance! And I'm sorry if it made no sense to you whatsoever TTuTT

Obviously you will have to work in just one composition at first. I suggest you start only using one When it gets too big, use Precomposition.Select the layers you want and then Ctrl + Shift + C (iirc) to precompose it into another composition. It helps in the long run.

I hate to tell you this but those are premade images. Use photoshop or another image editor to make those :D The point of video editors is to move objects anyway. Sure you can mask them on Vegas, but that's too much hassle. Do it outside.
Re: Chorus Video Making FaQ
8 years later and I finally bought Sony Vegas Pro 16 lol
Although it's outdated, your tutorial really helps with helping me understand chorus animations
Thanks, Kenta
