Hello, I am Sarah! I'm 16 years old and live in the USA. I am in my second year of Japanese, but I'm still learning! I will also go to Japan this summer :] on a study trip with some of my classmates. I really love the language and I don't mean to brag but.. I think I am pretty dang good at it ;D

I love to sing and have been since I was a little baby. I credit my musical knowledge mainly to my dad who used to teach music, and has played guitar and piano for several years. I looove indie / alternative music basically anything that sounds lovely hippie~ But besides that, I also love vocaloid and japanese music, classical music, and many others.

If my high school would let me, I would be in my 3rd year of Japanese.. but NOOO. ;( Good luck in your studies! Japanese is a bit challenging, but it's fun to learn. ^__^

i'm sad that the high schools here don't teach Japanese as an option course X(
i'll have to take it when i'm in post secondary

i had been taking piano for 8 years so i'm pretty good at rhythm and tone (at least i understand it pretty well)
but if you give me theory i will fail horribly...
(slacked off in the theory portion of lessons)

Yes it's very challenging but I love it so much! if you don't study it's easy to get behind heh x.x

Last year I applied to take Japanese III but wasn't able to because there weren't enough students to make a class (most of my classmates in Japanese I and II didn't choose to take Japanese and wanted out as soon as they finished their required credits), and my school administration would let anyone take a third year of foreign language if it's not consecutive(even if you beg. T_T), so I wasn't able to take it this year either.

I will be taking it in university next year though.. I need to look over my notes and books before taking it again. It really IS easy to get behind. I am terrified, yet excited at the same time. x_X
