well for artist...I admire my anee-chan drawing when I was a pre-schooler so I wanted to be an artist after that I watch anime I want to draw just like Japanese artist ^w^

well I just like the instrument...they were just soooo pretty and beautiful sounding~

Singing and recording was something I began with even before I knew about vocaloid and niconico singers. It was until I knew about those 2 that made me started to become more serious about recording. I started of with a few of Naruto songs such as yura yura, etc. I did quite a few private covers actually but they were all low quality of cos XD
I'm truely inspired by nico nico singers. The fact that they were just like us behind the screen and stuff make me felt like I could do it as well (well, not as godly as them but yeah) So I began to be more serious about singing

It's only recently that I've started started posting covers on youtube (So far, only 1 LOL). All these while I was so shy about posting it >_>
I still dont count myself as a good singer though. I feel that more improvements can be made.

I love instruments, especially violins. My parents never actually let me have any musical trainings so the ability to play musical instruments was something I always admire people who could do it.

I am a singer, animator and artist.

I started singing so long ago that I can't even remember now. My mum and dad loved to sing so I caught on to it then I rememeber watching Cardcaptors every morning and looking it up online. I met a girl who sent me a song from it [Prism] and it seemed interesting to me. After that, I looked up more songs and came across fandubbers and decided "I want a go at this!". My first dub was Sakura Saku from Love Hina and I was quite proud I pulled it off. I had to quit for a number of years due to a bad experience but I got back into it quite quickly.

Animation wise, I only ever tried small things over the years but I enjoy making videos similar to the ones on NND. Also, I am hopefully taking an animation and graphics course after the summer so maybe I'll even be able to make my own PVs.

Artist, always have been. Been an art student for a few years now and loving it. I'm not the best but I'm definetely not the worst.

I'm a singer. I started out last year by making my first fandub of Natsumachi, sung by Nino feat. RoundTable. That was my first time being introduced to Audacity. I've always wanted to sing and post in YouTube. Since the time I found out about Vocaloid and NNS, I just can't stop making fandubs. Ngee~ XP

I wish to be an animator but no software provided. It's hard to find softwares which is easy to find and easy to understand.

Used to be instrumentalist until I failed Organ test twice... Ahaha~ The fees was expensive, can't afford third trial. Still, I play it. I wish I could record any songs that I played and post it, but my timing always off (I wonder how did I get Merit during my Level 6 with this flaw) XDDDDD

I am a singer, artist, and instrumentalist. I'm not very good at singing, but its something that I always liked to do(only jpop or kpop though, is that weird?). I suck at the technical stuff, so I had never uploaded anything onto my youtube account until now. I love drawing and I don't think I'm that bad at it. I love playing instruments and have been playing for a long time. Any chance I get to learn a new instrument, I take, but I'm only confident in piano and flute.

Hm... I'm a singer and instrumentalist.

I'll start with instrumentalist:

I have Asian parents. *shot* I think it's pretty self-explanatory that they made me play piano. Although, I have to say, the piano was definitely my first love. There were periods where I was obsessed with playing. I've begun slacking off a lot recently (orz), but..... In total, I've been at it for.... 9 years now?, including the years in between when I didn't really play at all.

I've also tried my hand at the viola (my first instrument, actually). I loved it to bits. The sound is warm and rich, and it was a sound reminiscent of the kind of person I wanted to be. Unfortunately, because I have Asian parents, I was forced to switch to the violin ("Who plays the viola anyway?!"). The thinness of the violin's higher register annoyed the heck out of me for a long time, and I promptly gave it up and switched to the flute, which, I believe, suited me somewhat better. ...I have terrible lung capacity, though, so playing it made me light-headed quite often. I did get to be semi-decent at some point, but was never too interested in pursuing it.

To be honest, I still kind of regret allowing my parents to make me stop playing the viola. I've since made my peace with violins, and I even tried to pick it up again at some point, but.... the viola is still number one for me.


Singer:
I'd been a choir kid since elementary school, when my friends dragged me into it, and it was something I just continued doing all the way until now. I'd never really thought I had a nice voice/could sing well, etc., especially with my mother continuously telling me that my voice was bad and not suited to singing. (>_> She's a little of a.... conservative? woman.) That, plus my annoying range that was at the time limited to the notes between tenor and alto meant that I could never find songs in my range to sing.

At some point last year, a friend introduced me to Sekihan/Pico Magnet, and I thought, "Wow! That's so cool! They did both voices?!" And then I, who was sitting on the fence, thought, "Hey, my voice is low for a girl, and high for a guy. What if I just pushed against both edges? Could I do something amazingly absurd and cool like this?" I didn't seriously entertain the notion until the same friend introduced me to Nero's covers. One of the major reasons I like Nero is because our ranges have a large overlap. Somewhat excitedly, I began avidly listening to his covers and deciding which ones I could sing semi-comfortably in that range.

...And that got me into covering Vocaloid songs. It was my first time singing solo, and I wasn't entirely at ease with the idea, as I'd always believed my voice was bad. @_@ After many tries and experimentation with different voices and tones, I actually decided I didn't sound terrible. I developed a semi-rebellious attitude thereafter. Every time my mother gave me the "don't bother," I tried harder so that eventually I could slap down my cover in front of her, impress her with it, and then say proudly, "I sang this."

...She's heard some of my singing now, and as it turns out.... she thinks my trap voice is a lot better worth listening to than my original-gender voice. @_@ I don't know what to think of that. To date, the only compliment of any kind I've received from her about my singing has been, "Who's this person who dueted with you? They're a better singer than you are!" (<-Note: was a self-duet. OTL)

Im a singer and an artist
I fail at both..

I chose to be a singer when I was six. Cuz I loved how beautiful singers sound, and I wanted to be as beautiful as them too

I chose to be an artist about a year ago. Cuz I like drawing things and practicing and I also like to see myself improve~

So I guess I'm all four in a general sense, but I think most people only really know that I'm an animator. Hahaha;;;

For singing, um.... My sister, and my friend (chiizukeiki) got into Vocaloid, and I was curious, and eventually started covering things on my own. No special story, I just felt like it, and I do it for fun. Hahaha;

Drawing is something I used to dedicate a majority of my time to, but as time passed, it bothered me I wasn't improving and that my work was rather sub par so I gave up drawing seriously. I still occasionally doodle, but nowhere near as much as I used to.

Animating... Hahaha........ That's all I seem to do lately. *cries* Well, I'm not even sure myself how I get started in it. +_+ I did some experimental videos at some point, and then the Chorus Battle rolled along, and somehow I got roped into animating for Vocamania. I'm still not sure how all that happened, but I guess I'm glad I learned how to use after effects. I used to use photoshop a lot for colouring my art/forum graphics, and it came in handy because I got a grasp of AE pretty quickly.

I've been a pianist for about thirteen years now. Unfortunately, I play like I've been playing for only about 6. It's kind of sad really. Part of me regrets developing poor practice habits... Hahaha... My mom made me start learning initially, then I hated the first few years of it, but eventually it's grown to become such a large part of my life, I don't think I could ever bear to see it go. I now wholeheartedly enjoy learning and playing piano, I still suck at practicing, but I guess I'll eventually work up to playing as well as I should.

I'm a singer who can play just a teeny bit of guitar and piano, and do some line art. I can't color stuff, or animate anything to save my life.

I was a closet singer; the terribly shy type who would get tongue-tied if I had to sing in front of one peron... until I heard awesome people around my age singing on YT and NND. If they can, why can't I? That's what I thought, and that's why I decided to start singing and sharing on YT. (But I still can't sing in front of people orz)

And I liked drawing. I was (and still am) manga-obsessed, and remembered doing so many line arts for D.Gray-Man and Naruto... I just like to mimic stuff, I guess. XD

Both guitar and piano were self-taught while I was still schooling, simply because I loved the sound of these two instruments. My mum didn't think taking lessons were worth it because she felt that music was "worthless", so I was on my own. There was a long break where I did not practice, but recently I've picked up the guitar again...

I've been drawing since 3 - 4th grade but it was on an off. It was only until about last year that I got back into the flow of drawing. Now that I have tablet I most likely will be drawing more than before.

I've only played the clarinet for about a year in band and currently self teaching myself how to play the guitar so I'm not quite confident in calling myself an instrumentalist. >A> but I want to start playing my clarinet again...now if only I can find some reeds orz.

I am a singer who can play piano, so I think I am an instrumentalist?

I got into singing when I was around 14? 15? I love singing so much that my family do not even bother to ask me to keep quiet when I am singing anymore because I sing when I am studying, in the toilet, when I am showering - everywhere LOL. I am still shy when it comes to singing in public (even though I took part in my school's talent time and came in 2nd, I think I ate the wrong medicine at that time) I do not have much confidence in my singing as well. :/

Last time I used to cover chinese songs, but not anymore. The covers by utattemitas and the vocaloid music was the reason why I switched to singing japanese songs. THEY'RE AWESOME

As for being an instrumentalist, I don't think I am really that good in playing the piano (since I stopped my lessons 4 years ago) but I still love playing it as a hobby though. It's a beautiful instrument!

I am a singer, guitarist, and amateur artist.

Singing: I started singing at a very young age. I still remember singing songs with my cousins during holidays like Christmas and New Years. We also used to sing a lot of pop songs from the 90's and early 2000's.

Although somewhere along my life, I lost confidence in almost everything I used to do. I stopped singing for a while. Only about 4 years ago did I regain a bit of confidence in singing. I started to practice again, and I actually still am. I'm trying to improve!

Guitar: My interest in the guitar started when I was around...11 years old. I joined the Guitarists org in my school and learned a lot of stuff. Not to brag, but I was considered one of the best in my class XP

Although 3-4 years ago, I kinda lost my interest in it. I'm not sure why though. I just stopped playing.

Right now, my 3 guitars (2 acoustic and 1 electric) and amp are gathering dust. Recently, my interest for the guitar started up a bit because of a friend who kept playing while we Skype called. I still know the basics like chords, tabs, frets, finger positioning and the like.

Amateur Artist: Now I have never thought of being an artist when I was a child. I was quite horrible at it and lost confidence. My interest for drawing started around 3-4 years ago (SEE THE PATTERN HERE? XD) when I saw how much my sister improved. She's a really great artist and I got inspired. This community also gives me inspiration.

I'm still practising and trying to do my best. I won't give up~

I dont really like listening to song but i love instrumentals, like classical, rock, and jazz at the time XD I think it's about 2 years ago when I decided to join choir... and idk. I'm a singer. I only started last year due to the Chorus Battle. One of the members of the choruses showed it to me, and i was surprised to know that an english-speaking community existed. I joined YT soon after to try and see how i can improve. I think it's been going well lately, since i've managed to get some tips and tricks from people I have met here and everywhere else on YT. I've also learned how to control my voice more. Being of non-musical background, i still have to research a few things, but i'm improving somehow.

I'm an artist. I've been a member of deviantART for 7 years actually. Been drawing all my life. I've met most of my old friends and cosplay buddies there. I've recently only stopped posting because my tablet is broken, that's why i'm mostly here now. I still do sketches, which i've been quite known for back in high school (for doodling in class). I still love drawing, and once i get a working tablet, i'll be back to digital works again.

I'm an animator. Perhaps, one of the recent ones i've been into, started this around late December last year. I really like anything creative so this includes this one. I've been inspired by most niconico choruses and hope to add a more artistic twist to them. It's very fun for me, and I enjoy it. I initially learned animating to learn how to make a decent enough chorus for someone...

I was also an instrumentalist, although i don't do that anymore. I used to be able to play woodwind and brasswind instruments. I still have my harmonica, but not my flute. I just learned it out of boredom, but now i can't play as well as i did around 6 years ago. I'm still in the mood for making melodies though.

I WAS an animator. AFTER EFFECTS DIED ON ME NOW. I can't import audio. ;~; I miss animating. But I didn't do much. I only started after seeing YTChoruses and their animations so I assumed they used Adobe After Effect, so I bugged my dad to download it, so he did, but now it's dead, and I'm scared to ask him to fix it. Ahehehe. ^^:; The first time I opened it, I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I was just staring at it. And I couldn't do ANYTHING properly AT ALL. It was so HORRIBLE! I was so angry that night. But then the next day I found some tutorials and I was happy again yaay.

i'm an artist, a singer (iFail) and i play the piano, so i guess this makes my an instrumentalist?

my parents are asian (this explains a lot, lol), and they made me take art lessons when i was in kindergarten, but back then...compared to all these geniuses in my art class, i was NOTHING.
when i was in preschool, we moved abroad and i had to quit art lessons.
then, in third grade, we moved back to china, and i started taking art lessons again (because i wanted to), but after a year or two, i got kinda tired of it and wasn't really interested in drawing, though i didn't quit classes.
in the second semester of my 5th grade, i got into greek mythology and drawing manga, so i began drawing characters based on greek mythology.
like this, i continued drawing manga, hoping to become a manga-artist one day. in 7th grade i realized that drawing realism was more fun for me, so i quit the dream of wanting to become a manga-artist.
then, after about a year, i signed up for deviantart, because i was inspired by yuumei (AWESOME da-artist), and began uploading my stuff. (though all of them are simple sketch, since i'm to DUMB to use a graphic tablet and to lazy to use my scanner)

a friend of mine who likes a vocaloid music asked me to the a cover of 'torinoko city'(my second vocaloid song) with him/her, but in the end, we never covered it OTL
anyway, because of that person, i got into vocaloid music.
when i was randomly watching stuff on youtube, my friend sent me a covered version of 'leia' from someone from NND. I was like 'wow, this is amazing, i wanna sing like that too!!"
after a few months, i saw the magnet version of sekihan/piko, and i really admired that they could sing with both male and female voices *-*, so i started genderbending.
up until now, my voice probably kinda improved from the first cover i did, though i never posted anything online OTL

Im a singer. I've always loved singing but I only got the courage to actually start singing in front of people around 3 years ago. I'm basically inspired by anyone who can sing better than me (between youtube and nico there's a lot of people who are so that's why I upload so much xD). I love singing and I love being praised for my singing so I've been working to improve.

I've tried being an artist. I spent all my school life doodling and my friends thought I was good but after entering deviantart I realized I really am not. I honestly think I've improved my singing more in 3 years than Ive improved my drawing in over 10 years so I stuck to singing instead (though I still doodle from time to time xD)

I think I have some instrument playing abilities (at least I always did good in music class with both piano and recorder) but I like noisy instruments and you cant play those in a small apartment (I want to play the trumpet and the violin even though they're so unrelated xD)

Also I suck at animating period xD
