It's just that the singers' voices would have to match the Nico singers' voices for each part 'cause of some of the background vocals (LOL. It'd sound weird if a girl was singing and clear was singing in the background xDDDD). It looks so fuuun~

Yoink. I've been lurking this thread for awhile. I think we should come up with our own YTChorus collaboration instead of just singing Smiling. Yeah, it'll take a long time but Smiling is NicoDouga's (singer's) song. I think we should have our own. It'll be more special.

Sometimes, I feel like we're just copying the Nico singers. >.< Sorry. I still love YTChorus though.

Yeah but thats going to be really hard, making our own song. Cause then we're gonna need someone to write the lyrics(itl be even harder to write if its in Japanese) and to come up with a melody, and making the music and stuff..I mean do any of us really know how to do that?

Shoyru- I know it's not going to be easy. D; But it'll be much more special to us. Maybe someone can compose the music and users here who can play instruments can record their part and someone will mix them together? I don't really know about that part. As for lyrics, who said it had to be in Japanese? >w> Unless it's mandatory that it's Japanese... I'm not really sure about this part, but you never know. There might be people here who can. Or we can wait for more people to join YTChorus until a few pop up.

Halyosy composed the song for the NicoSingers and NicoDouga. But if we're just going to sing Smiling, it feels (to me) that we're just singing for the sake of the song sounding awesome and singing it. I would really like it better if we had our own like they have theirs.

I'm not trying to start an argument by the way. I'm just stating how I feel.

. Yeah It'd be really nice for us to write our own song, i'm just saying its be really hard, But we can probably do it if everyone helps out..I'd be up for it. Yeah Smiling would be fun to sing, but we really do need our own songs, I feel that we're just copying the songs nico nico covers a little to much sometimes

We need songwriters!(and more singers and peoples who can make the music >.>)

But before we even think about the song, shouldn't we try to see what point we're trying to make with the lyrics before we even start thinking about the lyrics? And after than we need to find a lyrics to fit the melody and a melody to fit the lyrics!

Well just to state my opinion on this thought, first we should work on lyrics and a meaning behind them when we write them.

Second, I think that it should be in English because most of us here are from the west and it's our main language. We want to show that we are the Youtube Community and we are unique. And since some of us are from other places, we could have people sing a line in what ever their home language is.

I agree with Jinsan, since YouTube community is a more internationalized website than Nico Nico Douga, we can have different languages and stuff on the lyrics :3;;...

It will be hard, but I bet it would be very satisfying in the end and possibly one of the biggest things we'll ever do. I'm pretty sure we can wait for songwriters and composers to show up. We've still got a heck bunch of songs we can cover. But when it comes around, I'll love to join as well.

I forgot to say this: Smiling is a really awesome song and it is even more so knowing the lyrics. I'm really glad you showed this to us! I keep looping this over and over. xD

Thinking of lyrics will be difficult as well. If we are going to sing in different languages, maybe the lyrics could be something related to that, like "We're all part of same world and we need to take care of it." >.> The multilingual lyrics is a great idea.
