[EDIT... what was it, three? four?] Okay, closing applications (by which I mean, no one new should post in the thread...)... Those of you who care to sing, post again and upload your audition. I expect to hear from someone![/EDIT]

AUDITIONS!: LEARN THE SONG AND SEND IT IN!

Hello! I think it is generally bad policy to both sing in and mix a chorus, so I may be questing a mixer... Then again, I have specific parts split up for this.

So! I want to put up a Chorus of this song, ~~but I want an audition this way:~~

Lyrical Arrangement (I may arrange a harmony for these...):

The Non-Verse parts are marked as specific parts ("A," or "B"), but can really go to anybody-- whoever makes the best sound there, I think.
And in fact! Hachiriko, this will allow for Female voice. [/EDIT2]

I'll close when I have three, four, or five auditions that I really like, and that will fit together while still being distinct.

[EDIT1] Okay, after a little thought, the big long audition thing is probably Not worth the time it would take, so: Post your Raw (un-prepped) vocals, I'll choose the ones I like. Therefore No audition per se... Well I hope I can get a few together! [/EDIT1]

Hey, no super-strict deadline, but...
I may put one up eventually to spur the people.

So take your time recovering!

And to everyone: take your time learning the song. I'm the kind of person who, if I mess up once, if I Think I missed a note, I will delete that recording and start again. Now, I don't expect perfection from all of you-- but I want you to try. The higher your expectations are, the higher your failure to achieve those expectations will be.

Sing the whole song. If you're worried that parts will overlap, or that you are rushing to catch a breath (or something) in a part that is between parts, then record the whole song-- just record it in parts.

I want the whole song so that I can pick and choose (and crop) who best fits into each part. Or best performs each part.
If you want the Improv. part, then record an improv. track. (make sure there's some sort of landmark or artifact so I know where to place it in the song). I want this In Addition to the rest of the Audition.

Also, I'd prefer you audition in the .aud Audacity format. Of course, if you don't use Audacity to record, I don't expect you to give your files in that way.

So, In Review:
- Record the entire song. (You may record it in parts)
- Record your Improv (part B) on either your Part B track, or on a separate track (depending on what format you use, see below.)
- Preferred file format is Audacity's ".aud".
(If it IS in .aud, you may layer your tracks (if you want) so that they form a song. If you intend to submit an MP3 or WAV, please record tracks separately, and arrange them one after the other. Also, Improv. should recorded on a separate track.)

Consider Yourself Considered for a part if you've posted interest in this thread. Send in Auditions, when you have them. Or, rather, send in lines. Also, I've amended my previous post-- I Don't want .aup files, because I hear they're really big... So just stick them all together and send it to me in an mp3!
