RainyVoices welcomes you! -- whether you're a singer, an animator, a mixer, or an artist -- We're recruiting all!
... only for the moment.
Though this chorus is still fresh and new, after we're done recruiting, we're not going to open auditions again. Yes, you heard me~ After we've recruited the members we need, we'll close down all auditions and skyrocket to the top! (That is unless someone graduates or quits, then we'll be looking for another person to take over that person's position.)
Our objective is to go around chorus battling and, of course, have a lot of choruses of our own. But our main goal is to shine! We're going to the show the world who we are! And to reach that, we need all the talent we can find.
May our voices rain among this planet!
Let's get started.
Firstly, I, Annie (DangoHanaa from YouTube), as the creator of RainyVoices, hereby swear that no matter how much effort it would take to make this chorus a success, I am willing to sacrifice each and every minute (not really, but you get what I mean!) of my time to contribute with the members, as well as projects hosted by us. This chorus is really important to me and I want our names to be known by the world (maybe not the world, but as least known by all the other fellow choruses). Therefore, I will be very strict about auditions and even more strict about everyone who takes interest in being part of this chorus (And of course, it is expected that people auditioning should be serious about this chorus).
Alright, alright! Sorry for all the wordiness.
Now, for the real thing!

From here on, things will get a little more complicated. Hopefully there won't be much confusion!
Now, take some time to think about what you'd like to contribute to the chorus -- is it your voice? Your programming skills? Or is it your creativity?
Look below.
Positions will be divided into categories. If you're interesting in that position, then please read everything that is written within that category. One mistake could disable your entry!
*VOCALISTS*
Read ↓ if you're interested in becoming a vocalist.
- Vocalist Audition Details:
- POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Roughly, 10.
Of course, we need vocalists. But there is a limit amount of singers our chorus will be needing.
Act fast!
Auditioning for this position is fairly simple. You just have to sing well!
But before that, there are still rules you'd want to watch out for.RULES- A decent microphone is not required. Though your voice cannot be severely unclear to the point that it is impossible to comprehend. Make sure your voice is not blocked by anything (i.e. puffy or blurry is not acceptable).
- Be on-tune. This is what all singers are required to accomplish. If you're off-pitch/tone, then please re-consider trying out for a different position. I will be evaluating this category very seriously.
- Please make sure your pronunciations are correct. Although we will be focusing on mainly Japanese songs, note that every once in a while, we will be singing a different language song (i.e. English, Chinese, etc.). Take your time analyzing the lyrics if you're having trouble reading it. Rushing won't take you anywhere -- and I'll probably be able to tell if you were or not. Take your time!
- Record in a quiet place -- or at the very least, don't let it sound like there's a party going on in the background.
Finally, after reading the rules, the text below is what you need to do to audition.
YOUR TASKS- You have a view songs to choose to enter for the audition. Be sure, when you pick your song from the list before, the song is able to depict your voice. If the song is too high for you, stop straining your voice and pick another song.
- You're not required to sing the whole song. Singing up to one chorus (or two) is fine -- as long as you're able to let your voice stand out. (You can sing with the BGM. Which also means, when submitting your entry, BGM is acceptable.) Though, for this audition, you're required to sing in Japanese.
- I know this may sound troublesome, but please, I want to be organized, so I'm desperately asking you to send it to me in a message via YTChorus! Please give the message a title like "Audition For RainyVoices - Vocalist" or something close to it! In the message, you're also required to state How active you are, just a simple sentence would do.
- Here is the list of songs you can choose from:

Auditioning to become an animator is quite simple.RULES & YOUR TASKS- Your entry should be at least 60 seconds long -- as long as it is able for me to see whether you inquire to become an animator or not.
- There is no specific program that I require you to use, though there are a few I recommend: iMovie, Ulead, and Sony Vegas.
- To submit, please send it as a message to me via YTChorus with a title of something like "Audition For RainyVoices - Animator". You may link me to the video with YouTube (or likewise). I want things to be organized, please. In the message, you're also required to state How active you are, just a simple sentence would do.

This role is mainly used for editing pictures/drawings that we will be using in our videos.RULES & YOUR TASKS- All you need to do is to download this image (you can definitely make the dimensions smaller), and in a graphic editing program (i.e. Photoshop), leave the character as it is, and make the background transparent -- no small dots, no fuzzy things, and definitely do not cut off any part of the character.
- After you're done with the image, upload it somewhere I could download (i.e. Mediafire, 4Shared, etc.). Then, please send it to me as a message via YTChorus with the title of something like "Audition For RainyVoices - Graphics Editor". Also state How active you're going to be, a simple sentence would do.
Take your time!

(Drawings can be both traditional or digital, though digital is highly recommended, UNLESS your traditional drawings are vivid enough to see.) Please set your message title as "Audition For RainyVoices - Artist" or likewise, with a short statement of How active you will be.

*MIXERS*

- Mixer Audition Details:
- POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 3.
A mixer's job is probably the most important here.
You must be able to mess around (in a good way) with audio programs and be able to have the same outcome/effects as the original song.RULES & YOUR TASKS- For the time being, you're only required to send your most satisfying work to me via YTChorus with a title of something like "Audition For RainyVoices - Mixer". Keep in mind that picking a harder song (for editing) to submit has a better chance of being selected. Simple merging layers and effects can cause a downfall.
- For your message content, please somehow link me to your work, and include a short statement of How active you will be.

Guys planning to audition could sing in a lower octave, I guess.
If I were you, I would add songs of different genres with the aim of attracting some err, diverse voice types and ranges.

I haven't tried Kokoro before so I don't know, but I know for a fact that Rolling Girl and Migikata is too high for me. =X
A different octave might work, but it's a good idea to add other songs of a lower key, because it's always good to have one or two low singers amidst the highs.
