I use a Logitech headset and a Somic headset. I use Logitech for slow/quiet/autotune songs, and for Somic, I use for songs that I (unsuccessfully) belt out to. XDDD kepingin beli baru sih sob

so now I'm back to my Logitech ClearChat USB headset to do Skype calls.

as for mic, I use the one attached to hs *me don't have real mic* *slapped* and it's..... Mtech, which I like because it doesn't ruin my voice but UNFORTUNATELY it's broken so I bought a spare....... which is Targus, the one that screwed up with my voice coz it's super sensitive to breath. And the price is twice as expensive as Mtech. I want my money back *stomped*

Anyway I'm kinda having mental breakdown because I'm craving for sushi, cheese and black pepper rice, Magnum, and caramel pudding AT THE SAME TIME. OH YEAH, AND PASTA. PASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~~~~!!

I used to use Mtech HAHA it's really cheap and sangat mendem+kecil suaranya unless I amplify it...
now I get... cheap chinese hs (merk apa lagi, dunno) on latest cover I did and manage to get a new one. I hope /o/ *saves moneh*

Ahaa, well, I wanted to buy a condenser in the first place because... Headset mics are really troublesome when you want to, sort of, shout or scream, basically letting your voice out... The recording will, without a doubt, clip, and if you lower the sensitivity, it just won't pick up enough sound OTZ

So yeah, if you really want a good mic, then start saving money ;; I remember getting totally broke right after buying mine. But it was really worth it! However, just remember that a good mic will produce a better raw recording quality, not better actual singing. (still struggling with this myself... OTZ)

To be honest, I don't like people who say "Tsk, he sounds good 'cause the mic is good!" A person sounds good because he really sounds good : | It kind of feels that the person's actual effort to sing good is not looked at... at all. :c

Yeah, I mean even if their mic is bad you can tell if the person sings good or not (even though better mics can capture more, I think...?). Unless their mic automatically transforms their voice into some horrible static or whatever--completely destroying the voice--which doesn't commonly happen (well I think it will die first before it even reaches that stage LOL)...

It's similar to "good voice, but mix needs some work", where in this case it is the mic.

@nacchan : noise removal and such. oh it's a bit tricky. I usually added new echo track so it has mic effect a bit although it's still mendem lah (still don't know it in english).

about mixing, what do you guys use? headphone, earphone, speaker, etc?
becoz sometimes headphone, speaker etcetc have different quality+voice+anything lah...

@Purru it's better if you use headphones, so you can hear the panning, and you can hear it more clearly, it also cancels out the noise from outside. idk LMAO
