What microphone do you use?

Since people keep saying the mics that come with musical-oriented games are really good, I decided to try out my long-forgotten mic from this one game someone gave me....

The quality got so frikkin much better. Thanks.

I use a Logitech HD 720p as a mic =w=' I guess it works pretty well but I'm dyyying for an actual mic >w< My doesn't let me spend my money yet though

Kya, so good, you guy have at least a mic... I dont have one YET, but I m planning to get a Blue Snowball. As I'm going to turn 13 in a few months, I can actually work for it, but I'm a klutz, so yeah. I'm looking for a job, and the mic is on offer at amazon.com with a pop filter and everything costs less than $90 *-*

Well, I went to malaysia the other day (to watch Puss In Boots LOL) and in the popular store, I saw a Logitech Clearchat Headset. I heard of good reviews on it, t's only around S$20++

I'm thinking about buying a Blue Snowball. My cheapie mic from DealExtreme ain't much. xD

I can totally recommend the Tbone SC400 or the SC440(USB) Mic *q*
I'm more than satisfied with it... I never expected it to have such a great sound quality OwO

The blue yeti sounds niiiice~ !

Most things from Blue are pretty good, depending on what kind of results you're looking for, though most usually expensive.

The Blue Yeti is really good and has no "big" cons to it; my only concern is that 1) it's rather bulky, not practical for those on the go & 2) it rarely comes cheap. It's something to consider, if one is contemplating how long they plan to cover, as you don't want all that money to go to waste.

I use a blue Yeti, any tips on the settings(I use it but it does not sound good as the other people recordings). all I know is you have to put it to the "heart" shape thing...also is there a distance you have to have between the mic and you??

Well I've decided to buy a new mic. I've considered the Blue Snowball, Yeti, and Snowflake. I currently DO have the money as of now to buy any one of them but after mulling over my "style" and "aspirations" with singing I've decided to go with the Snowflake. (Has anyone else tried this mic before?) I picked this one because I'm an amateur and I'm in no way going to be one of the "top" anytime soon. And reviews say it's one of the best ultra portable condenser mics. 8DDDD This webcam isn't doing the greatest job... webcam mic to portable condenser mic. baby steps...baby steps...

Since I think I won't be very active as a singer I don't want to spend a lot of money on a mic I'm not gonna be using very often. But if I choose to become a serious singer and develop an extreme passion to sing then I'll definitely save up for the Yeti or Snowball. @.@ (both are very sexy mic's btw lolol) I couldn't manage to find a singing test with the Snowflake so I hope it does me well. But the other 2, there were a lot and they seem very good. So yeah~ Snowflake mic here I come~ -takes out 35$- 8'DDD

xD I'm still wondering whether I should get the snowball, snowflake, or yeti. Ugh this is such a hard decision >.<
I know one thing for sure though~ In the end I'll have a sweet mic ;D I'll edit again when I decide again...LOL but who knows when that will be!~

[EDIT] OKAYS~ So I've decided! In the past weeks I've found that I'm not very active so I finally decided to get the Blue Snowflake. Yay~ I listened to a few voice tests and this mic is very good for its size and price. ^w^

I use a A4Tech HS-7P headset. I think I bought it for around 200PHP, so that's about...4 or 5 dollars? AHAHA.

But then I think that it's all in the mixing. Even if you have a really bad mic, you can make your recording sound really good with proper mixing.

It's a dynamic mic and I already tried it and it works on my latop~ <3 Aaand it was reeaally cheap~
Now I only need to train singing and finding the time (and an empty home XD)! Even though when I tried it, it sounded kind of... funny and thick? I mean my voice when I sing... boring? o.o ...

Err, well, more specific it's a... I don't know... I don't remember anymore! DX my mother threw away the pack that it was stored in... >_>

I'm thinking about getting a blue snowball since it seemed like a nice mic, but I think I'll have to w8 until I get money from my part-time job before buying (It's so frustrating TTwTT)

Those are all very good cheap mics.
The Snowball is a very good cheap mic although I have not used it personally I have heard good things about it for its value.

Personally I use a RODE NT1-A (not cheap mics) well Two of them one in front and one behind to pick up ambiance.

Just another pointer but it is not just about the mic but also the set up of how you are singing into the mic and the acoustics of the room you are singing in. Those are also factors of how the sound will come out as well.

But if you are just starting and want a good mic for a good value I would recommend the Snowball.
