In the Dark

(Idk just kinda felt like writing one right now...)

The burning sun set behind the hills...
The Moon begins to rise...
And stars come out a light...
And the wait for the Dawn begins...

A shadow in the night comes quickly past my house...
A creeping fear of Dark keeps haunting my mind...
A look out my windows to pray upon the stars...
To look on their sparkling visage....

Dawn seems a long ways away,
So I take a nap to pass the time...
Silence ring across the world,
And at peace I am...

Tomorrow never comes....
A horse of the night took me away...
To a place where no light shines,
Haunted by painful memories...

I sit in the Dark,
Waiting for you to come...
The person who can free my soul,
From the binding of the Dark...

I hear your voice,
Yet I curse your presence...
For you bring the Light,
Which burns deep into me...

I fear you and facing what is...
The Hope you once were no longer remains...
I turn away from your immaculate being,
And hide once again in the realm of Dark...

Tomorrow never comes....
A horse of the night took me away...
To a place where no light shines,
Haunted by painful memories...

In the Sky dotted with sparkling stars,
There still lives someone who can save me...
I know one day that someone will come,
And I will be able to safely look ahead and be free...

Yet in the deepest of the Dark,
It is hard to believe in such Hope...
A weight like a the ocean,
Crushes down upon my immortal soul for eternity...

My voice cries out,
"Come save me someone!"
All that answers is the ever-present Dark,
Pushing in all around on me...
