In order for Autumn to arrive, Summer must occur. Without Summer, there would be almost no difference in weather between Spring and Autumn. Also, Summer is an important season where the Earth tilts towards the Sun, creating warmth. Summer is also important because Summer provides us with Summer Break from school. Autumn marks the start of school.

Post count is equivalent to experience in the forums. The more posts, the more experience, the more connections you make with others.

The technical derivation of "seasons" do not actually exist. A season is a form of organization and measurement. Certain older civilizations only had three "seasons," on top of that, the tropical climate has only two.

"Summer" does not need to occur for spring to occur. This is a natural phenomena, not a concrete causal chain. Mind you, Earth tilts toward the sun in the winter, too. It's just that one part of the year, it's the northern hemisphere and the other part in the southern. (Which is why it snows in south America during out summer months).

I used to live in Korea, and my break was during the fall.

Edit: And again, by that logic. I can post in this thread 4000 times talking about pudding, and I would be none the wiser. It's the quality not quantity. Not saying that post count is not a good method, it's just that it's too arbitrary.

all in all, Though SEASONS do not quite exist, it still exists as a part of society. Society has created archetypes of the seasons, creating a large influence on children by associating each season with connotations and such. Therefore, the flow of the seasons and order was created by humans, organized so to create understanding. Considering the flow of seasons, Summer occurs, regardless if parts of the world don't experience four seasons. All cultures, languages, etc have words and ideas associated with summer.
Though the earth tilts only 23.5 degrees towards the Sun and away from the Sun in certain months, and vice versa for the other side of Earth, Summer provides the earth with warm climates regardless, and thus is essential for the survival of organisms all across the world.
