Hey guys! I'm fresh from the cabbage patch! I'm Niji and I'm 18 years old and I'm an aspiring animator (going to art school in a month! whoo!). I secretly fight evil by moonlight, dance in my pjs to Perfume, Capsule, the vocaloids and Halcali (there are so many more though), and draw for gas money.

I've always been known for being "the art geek" however I've been a closet singer- I've been singing for years, actually. Once I started getting decent at the piano (I've been playing for about 13 years now) I decided to sing along everynow and then. Even though back then they were Disney songs and musicals, I now tend to sing Sailor Moon Sera Myu, Luka and Miku songs, and Lady Gaga (combo breaker lol).... in my room... when the house is empty. >>;


...However this is changing.

What kind of mic and program do you all use? D:

A lot of beginners use Audacity, a free downloadable program to record and to mix. 8D mic's aren't really a problem, as long as they produce little background noise and are clear. (rockband mics work wonders)

Also, I just use my internal mic on my Mac and use Garageband.

@Fuzzlekins: Yeah, although I still remember how I got into piano, though. I went over to my friends house (we were always playing dress up with Disney clothes) and there her mother had a huge piano. One time I hopped up and tried to play Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer when my mom walked in and asked what I was doing.

"I want to play Rudolph, Mommy!"

And thats when she took it a little too seriously and signed me up. XD

I haven't been playing all that often though recently. Art has really consumed my life.
