Hetalia: Axis Powers English Dub (By Funimation)

Heh, I just wanted to see some people's opinions on the clips that Funi has uploaded to Youtube and their site. The dvd comes out on September 9th. Some of my friends have said it's good, others say it's bad, and I say it's okay. 8D Tell me your opinion! Eheh, I love England's voice actor, and France's scares me. But, you know France, so that's kind of normal...

I'm only slightly disappointed in the Eng. dubbed, since I love England's voice, America sound annoying, which is a good thing! XD, and Greece just sounds awesome!

The only problems I have with it the dubb is that...
- SPAIN DOES NOT SOUND SEXY ANYMORE! -shot again-
- I can't understand what Poland says...
- China....They ruined my third favorite country...-dies-
- Would type more, but too lazy! XD
- The accents kinda kill it...

I would buy the DVD, just to make fun of the English voices and support Hetalia! (^ w ^)b

Ahah, yeah, everything you said was exactly what I thought about it!! And yeah, I could NOT understand what Poland said. And I really doubt ANY one who watched it could... And the accents did kill it... It would be SO much better if there weren't accents... Italy's scares me... He's like... a cuter version of Mario, but in a bad way... ;A;

Yeah, and I'd buy the dvd to support it, and it will have the subbed version on it, most dvds do. So yeah! X3

For some odd reason. I actually like the English dub of Hetalia. I'm still shocked that China is voiced by a girl even behind that very manly voice.

But I find Spain's voice a bit too deep. owo

I love Germany's voice the most. Since it's the closest to the Japanese dub. ♥

America's voice is adorable in my opinion XD

Russia sounds awesome XD

Luckily I found another video showing their voices because...I can't watch the video above since some sort of copyright ground thingy...||orz

This affects the dubb version more than the original, so that's why I' posting it here...If it's not allowed, then I will delete this post!

This is one of the reasons why I will not be seen supporting the FUNi dubbed version.

...And yet, I will still buy the DVDs anyway. I actually wasn't too bothered by that. Maybe it's just because I don't get offended too easily. *shrug* Besides, it doesn't make me a bad person for supporting the industry that brings us anime legally.

I think it would probably be best to keep the wank out of this forum...

Aww, I wouldn't really consider ImmySoo's opinion on the dub as wank, and plus, forums are described as "online discussion sites", according to Wikipedia. Why not discuss?

Anyway, I agree with you: the dub isn't all that bad, compared to other dubs; obviously I'm not the kind to be bother so easily either. It's actually kind of cool, in my opinion. You don't see dubs where all the characters all have accents, you know! Alas, they don't sound exactly like the Japanese version, as a lot of people would argue to convincingly support their opinion, but a dub's a dub. I really liked the voices a lot, but Spain's was kind of... deep. Threw me off a bit, heh. Also, I agree that the accents are sometimes too jumbled to understand, especially Poland.

Yeah, I don't think they really have a plan for when they make the episodes. They just animate whatever they feel like. xD

I liked the accents I feel they add another layer, but that's me. Germany and Russia's my fave!

I love both the dub and original XD I bet that in the japanese dub, to the people who is japanese, they're probably thinking that Japan's the only one they can understand since all the other countries have accents and to us, its the same with america XD

Japan's probabl thinking 'thank god I don't have to speak in a weird accent like everyone else" XD and thus end my rant
