Who's heard of Rockleetist?
If you haven't, Rockleetist is an English Vocaloid fandubber.
And in my opinion, she does it really well. Really, really well.
I'll give you her version of Alice Human Sacrifice, which is her most popular video, as an example - she did all the voices of each Alice. Granted, the sound broke in some parts, but she was aware of it (we all know how well things sound when you compress the data too far, I'm sure; the video was having compression issues). This video is almost a year old; she's still active (she recently uploaded her versions of Rip=Release and BPM - whose lyrics were tweaked from someone else's here, I think? - three weeks ago).
From what I remember, she allows others to use her lyrics/songs so long as proper credit's given, which I think is a pretty good deal.
Well, that's what her FAQ says.
Sorry if this seems like an idiotic topic, but I like her work. XP

I've heard of heeeer! XD I like her singing, it's good. :D Her lyrics, imo, range from okay to really goo . My personal favorite, lyrics wise, is her Light Song and Drive to the Moon. <3 They flowed really well.
(the BPM lyrics are from kran, btw 8D)

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
Okay, thank you for confirming my statement. ^-^;
Some of the lyrics for a few songs were morphed a bit too far - Rip=Release was good, but I honestly was a bit sad that the lyrics giving the meaning behind the song's name was edited, and Melt to a similar extent. However, I think that it was also intentional, considering that if you didn't know the song beforehand you might think it to have ill intent or suicidal tendencies..

She's a really cool person too. ^_^
She talks to her fans on Twitter. That's the only reason she found out about my lyrics or about me in general. xDD

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
Yeah I've been a long time fan of hers. She has a great range and she has done some great covers (although some of them are changed a little too much for my liking). My favorites are Light Song, Drive to the Moon and Gemini.
Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
I think she has a great voice, could use a mixer, and writes okay English lyrics (I've seen better).

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
I think some of her lyrics stray a bit too far from the original(Just be Friends, for example), but that might just be me. her singing is godly, though. Can't say anything about how she mixes, since I'm a terrible mixer myself XD

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
LOL her comments on nicovideo have people going like "I wish I could mix for you ;w;"
That's how bad her mixing is and that's how good they want her to be. xD

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
LOL I've been a fan of her for quite a while now. I agree that she could use some help with her mixing but I have no right to say that *can't mix for my life*
But I love her covers....and her high notes! Last night Good Night anyone?

Re: Who's heard of Rockleetist?
I don't care for some of the songs she does...they just sort of blend together sometimes. Though there are a few that stand out to me, like her "Can't I Even Dream?"
I think her lyrics are well done, I mean they go with the beat and rhyme and JUST the right point. Let's face it, her range is beautifully high!
