Greetings! Please do tell me if my topic title is misleading, off-putting, tasteless or plain annoying/weaboo o/

Anyway, hi guys, I'm Krystal and I'm here to seek people who love Vocaloid and can sing.

...Actually I just joined because I found this place and thought it looked like it had an interesting community.

Okay so um. I like Kaito, and have been liking Kaito for...what...uh, 3 years now? I've always liked singing but I've never been very good at it. Part of the reason for that is because I never practised because even though I liked singing, I was never serious about it.
Around a year or so ago, I tried out singing and recording Vocaloid songs. Not a lot, probably once every 3 months or so, but I took a liking to doing so, and I'm trying to become more serious about this.
Some people say I'm improving pretty quickly, so I want to get better and better and sing more and more. So what better community to help me with this than you guys? =D

I'm an artist by hobby and future trade. What I mean is that I'm an art student and I love drawing. So I might show you some of that, and there is a high probability I will eventually offer to draw for my new friends here.

It seems that everywhere I go, people feel that the place they're staying at is rather scary and crazy and random and such, but I believe that this is a cyberspace social norm, and feel that no one should be alarmed.

(I don't need parents, I'm more the husband-type thank you :>)

By the way, I've spotted the name 'Krystal' in several people's signatures around here. Am I infringing on someone else's name?

Hello, Krystal, welcome to the forums!
I'm in a sort of similar situation myself - always liked to sing, though wasn't serious about it. I'd like to think I've made leaps and bounds on my singing abilities since I started a few months ago-

But enough about me. Here's a few things about this place from what I observe as a newbie, though I may be wrong -
- You can't always tell the person's gender just from the voice you hear or the gender on their info page. I'm a contralto, for example, so unless I'm singing in falsetto, my voice has a slight masculine tone to it (the amount really depends on the song, though, and I sound more feminine when singing in English XP ), but I'm female. (I'm not quite sure about this statement, so take it with a grain of salt...)
- People have families and lovers, but I'm sure you've observed that. XD
- Be aware of Bbcodes. Be extra-aware of Bbcode spam. There are some instances of it!

YTChorus sometimes has auditions for instrumentalists as well as singers; since I saw your picture in the post-your-pic thread, I wondered if that might be info of use. XP

And since I'm sure someone else would eventually ask, would it be possible to hear any instances of your singing? XP;

As for activity, the forum's rather international, so I'd guess it's pretty active at all times, though not always active. XD;

Your singing isn't bad at all so you should have more confidence! You don't need a really good microphone - sometimes good mixing goes a long way XD

A bad mic works for things like...well the way I sing but a bad microphone can't pick up the wonderful subtleties in instruments. It makes them sound hollow and empty and such in my opinion =O
Also my piano is out of tune anyway > 3>

^ Oh yes, a "bad" mic doesn't do much for playing instruments but I think it's not too bad for singing XD (I use a singstar mic and it's not too bad) XD. I was contemplating doing Fine Arts in university (and I know CoFA because I was looking at it for my preferences ;D) but I ended up doing just Arts (doing Art History for the meantime though) =3=

There are two other members here from Sydney and we've met up a few times - now we have another person to hang with 8D (And coincidentally, we're all uni students XD <3)
