Mixing with FL Studio? Empty Mixing with FL Studio?

Post by Crescence Mon Mar 15, 2010 1:23 pm

Um, anybody ever tried recording mixing with FL? I have this program in my computer, and it seems like quite a nice program, so I'm trying to figure out how to record and mix with it. The tutorials in youtube are all so confusing OTL

For the mixing, I think I know how to figure out the mixer. The problem is, in youtube some videos told me to download these asio4all etc thingies for recording, but when that asio is on, i can't hear the master audio at all. Uh, and I don't really know how to...set the timing, so that the vocal and bgm can match. Can't even do basic things ory

Can anyone help me... pleaaaase? ;_;

It would be easier if you record with Audacity and mix with FL Studio. That's all I can say... Dx

I've never tried recording in FL Studio - I have it, but yeah. I usually use it to program beat loops for songs/remixes XD;;

It shouldn't be impossible to mix in it though - I know for one Machigeriita mixes with FL Studio (was watching his nico broadcast where he was mixing his Just Be Friends in it, and picking up advice). I didn't really take notes for FL Studio though, just like, general notes I could apply for mixing in Cubase orz. If you had a premium nico account you could timeshift the video, but uh, most people don't, and it's entirely in Japanese anyway XD;;;;

Yupyup, I saw that one too, that's why I wanted to try mixing with FLStudio o///o Plus it seems rather... sophisticated? But I watched it starting from the 2nd waku, so I didn't know how he actually recorded it T__T

Buy me a premium account please....? Happy Go Lucky

Edit: But a premium account won't help, he said that it won't be in the archive ory Was it this one, or the other one.... I think it's this one. It won't be in the archive...

I could check anyway XD.

FL Studio is more meant for music making - I've never actually used it for mixing so I wouldn't know. I've been using Adobe Audition, and then just switched to Cubase (major culture shock orz), but never really tried FL Studio. I suppose you could google tutorials? Or check YT?

...I suggest you try something else. Audacity's a good program, but if you want something more advanced, try Adobe Audition?

You might want to try REAPER, or if you have a mac, Garageband?

FL studio's more for music making, I think. Mixing in it works, but it's so complicated it kills (at least to me).
