Fandubbing

Okay so I apologise if this isn't the right place to put this, but I think it is xD;

I was curious as to if anybody here fandubs clips from anime and the like? So, no singing, actually voice acting? I know there must be some of you around here. I've been interested in getting in to it for a while now and I'd be really interested to hear other people's work, any tips, etc; 8D

I've always wanted to do this but I haven't actually done it...

But I was thinking of this approach:
-get the RAW video
-use translated text from already subbed version... since I can't translate...
-record
-use the anime's/games' OST as appropriate BGM...

I know this approach is a lot of work but that's the reason why I haven't done it. Maybe someone else can give a better suggestion... I'm sorry orz

anyway, you might have known this already but try looking at lilypichu in youtube she does dubbing.

As for me, I suck at acting so I never tried =p

Lilypichu has a cute voice...

but I haven't heard a guy doing something like this on youtube. Do you guys know anyone?


Btw, because of this thread I'm starting to want to do it. I really dreamed of becoming a voice actress but I don't know if I have any potential to be one.

Of course there are male ones.

Yeah, Sward is pretty good. I voice act as well, mainly I mix fandub clips though. But I would suggest possibly checking out the VAA or VAC. They live for that stuff. Lol.
