Need help buying a mic!?

I'm looking for something that has a higher quality in the mic. Sad to say, my 10 dollar Walmart logitech headset just isn't cutting it anymore. Too much pick up, static, and very sensitive to breath/wind. I'm looking for ideally, a USB headset with great noise reduction and great sound quality. Over the ear headphones is prefered, noise canceling may be a bit too pricey, but my range in price is pretty flexible.

Do you guys have any recommendations? What do you use, what sounds best? companies, brands, links and suggestions are very appreciated!

Also, if you have a recording of yourself ie. a raw dub that would be helpful to learn the quality of the mic you are using ^_^

Yeah, I figured that a headset might be too good to be true LOL

Still very much in need of help though, and I'm indeed considering buying a stationary mic for recording only.

You could maybe find a "Gamer Headset" I mean, A good headset with a mic that normally you could use for playing MMORPG. But.. I don't remember the name OTL"

Mmm, condenser. If you go for the condenser let me recomment SweetWater. Don't have one, but I've seen more than enough to know it's a good brand.
