Oh bloody hell, more newbies

And what a hypocrite I am.

Hello I am known as Paprika around them internets :) I love me some GFX works and I've come from another forum (blatant self promotion allowed?) where there is a really really small chorus that struggles to eek out an existance in the massive worlds that contains that which are the famous YT Chorus and the ever elusive NND Chorus.

Why have I come here? (whoever designed this website, I give them my respect), aside from trying to gain more valuable knowledge into something I truly love, I want to sing.

I've been singing for X number of years where X is a number between 0 and anything you choose. It really doesn't matter to me at this point, I know I just really... really want to sing. And I'm amateur too! Which makes dealing with my untrained voice that much more lovely on the ears :)

Despite my love for singing, I currently have nothing to record myself to spread it to the world as the Webcam I was using (lol webcam) is not compatible with Windows 7 and RAEG.

*sigh*

To start, what should I buy to record myself, is there a GFX section (and a resident boss I can defeat muahah) and a spoiler for more info in case I really am more interesting than those people who say hi and nothing else.

I'm impressed. Thank you for the welcome Makes me feel a little bit more homey. The two forums are actually just about the same size (but VO had a server wipe so it's actually even bigger) but that aside, no I didn't sing in that video (I wish. That's Christofer Drew who wrote the song).

I actually dislike my voice when I sing in Japanese, since I believe myself to have a blaring western accent (confirmed by my other asian friends) and it sucks even more than I'm Thai and supposed to not have one (Natively canadian).

Do you guys accept auditions sung in Japanese and English? D:

Mmmm....The choruses that YTC makes are usually in Japanese, but there are the member-made ones that do make English choruses!

(Forgive me if meh English is a tad poor....English is truly not my best attribute!)

I use the lovely GIMP to do my work... Even though I should start learning Photoshop (since it doesn't crash nearly as much)

@kran lolsweet a mod. VO doesn't have much of a chorus and I figured here I would have competition so I would have to kick myself into gear to get into songs :D Unfortunately I don't use Skype
As for seeing my name around the internet, Paprika is the name of a relatively well known movie. That or I've been designing Youtube Backgrounds and I've put my name as designer down I think I'm getting good.

Do you not find gimp hard to work with? I had it for ages before I got photoshop and really hated it.
