Harou there, fellow singers,

I bought a new microphone two weeks ago(TBone sc440 USB Microphone) and everything was fine with it. But since I have it, my recordings always have this brawling noise in them, like an ocean or something. When I try to remove it with audacity, my voice sounds stupid and not clear anymore.
I thought about buying a pop-screen, but I don't really know if that affects the noise.

And now, suddenly, the noise became louder. I did not change anything in the sound system yet, besides of turning off microphone boost.
Google told me the problem could be my sound card, but I can't efford a new one---

So maybe you can help me reduce the noise. It really keeps bugging me since I have so much to record and simplay can't because of the noise...

BTW, I'm using Audacity and Samplitude Music Studio 2008 to record...
I appereciate any advise.

Thank you =w=

are you on windows? idk if this will work but, um..~

control panel -> sounds -> recording (tab) -> (double click your mic) -> (a new window should pop-up) -> custom (tab) -> uncheck the monitor option

the point of a pop-filter is so that when you sing your microphone isn't hit with the air from your voice-- it doesn't filter noises.

have you tried to change the gain level setting?

go to your mics properties, and look at the level tab.
you probably set the gain too high, i always set the gain to about 37-40. it still have some noise but adobe audition have no problem removing it.

i have a pop screen but theres still noise on my recordings.

okay I kinda got rid of the noise, don't know how I did but it's gone...^^
Now there's a little beep in my recordings, but I guess I can remove that more easy then the noise.

Thank you for your help, I'm happy now <3
